What a great weekend socially and on the bar billiards front.
As for the match , We went into the break 6-5 down , the big scores in the first games coming from Mick Eouzan 9170, Kevin Tunstall 10500 and Ash Malorey 10260. With 6 breaks to come there was no need for me to panic (although you didn't see how we played on Fri evening) : )) After the first 3 games of the second half we were still one behind 9-8.After the next 4 games things hadn't changed and we were still one point behind at 13-12 with Kev and Colin both picking up 3 points. At this point it was brought to my attention that Sean wouldn't be able to play his second game as he was unwell. It was agreed that the points would be shared but no points awarded for aggregate score. This brought us level at 13 all with 3 matches to complete.
Nigel Ryall had a great 2nd game against Simon Coleman scoring 10130 taking the aggregate win and two points making it 15-13 in favor of Jersey. I was able to win my 2nd leg to take another 2 points which leveled things at 15 each.
The game of the night turned out to be the decider. Martin Cole went into his 2nd game against Mick Eouzan k8 behind.I was confident that if Martin could turn this around we would get the win but being that far behind was always going to be a tough ask.And not to forget that this was Martins first call up to the England squad (no pressure then) I was on the other side of the room and although I was playing my own game I was keen to keep up to date with what was going on. Halfway through my game I had enough points to win my game and it was then that I was told that Martin was still on his first break. Martin played an inspired game and touched on 13,390 to take the leg and the win on aggregate.
All I can say is, what a way to win .
Well played team and well played Martin in what was the match of the night with k27 being scored over 2 legs .
Curt
Thanks to Steve Daw (Mikes brother) who stepped up and played a reserve match against Nigel Bisson winning 2-1

Excellent weekend over in Jersey, some great individual performances by players from both teams which gave us a very exciting match that was in the balance right to the end of the last games. Many thanks to the Jersey team for a really nice evening and to the Sarum Hotel who looked after us very well throughout the weekend.

Thanks to Steve Daw for forwarding a few shots PS there seems to be an aura around WC or should it be JC! Someone with a mischeivous bent might have to find some look alikes for our heroes......
