With memories of our defeat by this team before Christmas, we were in a determined mood for this match!  Great scoring from Nick got us off to a flying start and Neil followed up with another good win.  The third was the gane of the night, with Trevor and Adam neck and neck all game. When the bar went, Trevor was at the table and 60 behind. He potted all the remaining balls to take the win.  The fourth would have been a bit closer, but Barry took the black out trying to hit a ball in the middle. Finally, the battle of the Tonys! Again, very close for most of the game, but with our Tony in front by a few hundred, he overcooked a 100 shot from the back cushion and took the black peg out by its roots.  Plenty of good banter with this team - who were always keen to remind us that we were their first win of this season!  |
