SWSC 2, Mill 3 Tony T 1250, Mick 2550 Melvyn 2330, Barry 3900 Noggs 1220, tommo 3710 Tony F 4830, Vicky 3000 Ray 2940, Alan 1940
Good rearguard action from the home team who were audibly dreading a BFZ: Unfortunately for Vicky tommo had already received her share of luck as well as his own and she downed 1.5k when she had Tony on the ropes. And nothing in the last game with the bar imminent, but Ray easing away with some excellent play.
A post-match discussion on how the table could be improved drew a complete blank ! (table is level, pockets are clean, cloth is fast, cushions are good). But the balls are sometimes unco-operative.......In retrospect, could be a simple case for some feng shui ! Good, sociable evening.

Railway 3 White Hart 2 Stuart 2,570 Barney 1,250 Barney unlucky to lose a winning break , said he was so P****d off he wasn't going to post anything, cant say I blame him.
Boggy 1,300 Dave 2,080 Both really struggling, quote of the night from Dave, I need counseling after that!
Mick 5,820 Ricky 2,100 Thought I was going to be in trouble playing a southpaw but Rick over hit the break to let me in.
Adam 2,020 Evergreen John 2,790 Adam making the early running but John again proved how good he is by putting together a nice break to take the point.
Sniffer 5,030 Colin 1,840 Colin starting well but once Steve got going it was all over.
A good win for us as the Hart are always very competitive and seem to like our top........
Lovely grub from Stella to finish off.

Alfold SSC 4 Springbok SC 1
D Slater 2390 G Marshall 2060 Young Gaz struggled with the break but Dave did not capitilise. Table got messy with limited chances to put together large break. Dave worked hard at end to get break back and hit the winning break.
C Greening 1760 R Burgess 1960 Similar game to first with neither Rob or Minor making much of an impact, as bar dropped Rob just ahead to take the point.
G Fishburn 7000 B Hicks 930 Bill started brightly and that was it for him. Garry on top form a break of 4K at the off pretty much said it all.
B Mant 1710 T Goacher 1660 I flew out of the blocks and that was that. Table got loaded with balls and Bradley worked really hard to chip away, losing a decent break along the way. I had my chance as the bar dropped, but lost 500 points to let the young one take a well deserved point.
M Greening 4620 M Edwards 1380 Mike went off OK doing little wrong, however the Major was in fine form and put together some decent breaks. Mike worked hard but did not have the legs.
Great result for the Alfold Lads and well deserved. Great food courtesy of Garry/Delia, good company and lots of laughs.

Dun Horse 2 Blue Ship 3
Scott Hope 4470 Steve Holden 3880 Colin Bolton 3030 Ding Johnson 3520 Grant Hope 1750 Simon Bailey 4400 Dave Simmons 6840 Mick Johnson 2380 Stuart Hope 2480 *Steve Holden* 4950 (4 player rule)
Game 1: Close game most of the way, Scott pulled out a sizeable lead, Steve came back well but ran out of time. Game 2: Close game 2 Ding 2k ahead early on, Colin caught up, late break from Ding took it. Game 3: Played 4th. Solid game from Simon. Nothing going for Grant - until the bar dropped! Game 4: Played 3rd. 2k opener from Mick. Dave overtook before pegging 2k5-ish. Made certain next visit with 5k. Game 5: Pops with the break (Steve on 4 player rule)After a reasonable start, struggled as Steve pulled out a decisive lead.
Well! Didn't see that one coming! Yet another solid 3-2 loss for the Dun! Thoroughly enjoyable evening with old friends, plenty of mirth and banter, rounded off with some sandwiches.
