Here are my thoughts on these games.... (2,800) Black Horse v Plough Plumpton (2,700) The Stallions were gelded 4-1 when these teams met here in the League early this season in a low scoring battle, I can't see that happening again and with nothing much in the handicaps I think the Plough will hit some rough ground and suffer a 4-1 defeat this time. (4,800) Hikers Rest v Cock'n'Balls (2,500) Despite the handicaps the Hikers can get back to winning ways here if they can lighten their back packs a bit.... Tetley Tea Wooton hit big here earlier this year and he is likely to be the only winner for the visitors in a 4-1 home win. (4,800) Glynde Club v Hospital Club (2,500) The runaway leaders are undefeated at home this season and will be looking to maintain their charge against an overworked medical staff but the visitors bring some good away form having won their last 3 away matches.... a 3-2 home win looks a good possibility. (3,100) Laughing Fish W v Albion Hollingbury (3,400) With little to choose in the handicaps this match will be dependent on the draw on the night. The 2 noisiest players in the League go head-to-head again with Silent looking to regain his personal crown after Ray proved louder in their earlier encounter. A 3-2 home win looks possible to me. Laughing Fish K (4,700) have a bye this week The Kippers will enjoy their week of rest and watch the League Cup title head east this season.... the handicaps have worked well this year and made this competition very close so well done to the organisers again.

Black Horse to take to the gallops and with the handicap not really coming into effect they will have the lead horse on the plough to have a straight furrow to a 3-2 win
Hikers Rest have to give a fair start and I think they will be crowing and the Cock and Balls will be crying into their beer after suffering a 4-1 defeat.
Glynde are singing saprano at the top of the league and although having to give a fair start will still come away with a3-2 win and the Hospital will go home licking their wounds and back to the ward.
Laughing Fish W have a small start but I think if the scorer can make themselves heard they will be the minnows of the evening as the awesome Albion Captain leads his troops to a 3-2 win, and will go back home Hollerburying to Peacehaven.
Laughing Fish K will lose ground on the leaders and drop down the league table, but will take the time to rest their weary gills and return full of energy and have a whale of a time in the remainng handicap[ games.

The Black Horse v Plough 100 for the guests with 3 breaks and a favourable draw it could be the longest day for the hosts and a night to remember for the visitors with the plough cutting to the Chase and taking their opportunities should come out with the wheels of the Stagecoach falling off, the result a 3-2 away win
Hikers v The Cock with 2300 start the hosts may be walking over a bridge too far tonight with no road back leaving the Cock to maintain their grip on the available weapons successfully coming up trumps with another 3-2 away win
Glynde v Hospital another 2300 start for the visitors but the main medicine man wont get up the hill tonight, the hosts should come out on top unless some true grit leaks out of the visitors wounds and a sizable ransom paid. 3-2 home win
Fish W's V Albion 300 start for the guests The rock of ages will roll over the w's, the guests guilty of the offence of having a draw in their favour. 3-2 away win
With Ths K's standing down tonight they would have just cause in supporting the Hospital, to up the conflict and make things more interesting in the run in
Watch out, there may be some red herrings for the fish to spot in this themed tipping
Points Summary 3 of 10
Silent 3 pts A bridge too far, The Longest Day, Medicine Man

(2,800) Black Horse v Plough Plumpton (2,700) - Close handicaps and a very close match is my forecast, despite having 3 breaks the Plough will still be reeling from their thrashing last week so Silent tips a 3-2 home win (4,800) Hikers Rest v Cock'n'Balls (2,500) - 2300 in 3 legs sounds a lot to receive for the nice Cock team (whoops) but the table is pretty good so one mistake can be curtains so Silent tips a 3-2 home win (4,800) Glynde Club v Hospital Club (2,500) - A short journey along the A27 (good knowledge) for the away team to the League leaders who are in awesome form...could they win 5-0 again? I don't think history will repeat itself so Silent tips a 4-1 home win (3,100) Laughing Fish W v Albion Hollingbury (3,400) - A ramble before the tip....this match will be played the day after the birthday of one of the away team and also an Inter-League match at Worthing where the noise levels will reach a crescendo (good word WC) with 4 Stoners, 2 or 3 Oakleys, Silent and the rest of Chipman's army in attendance. I have forewarned Mr 'Happy' Molly about this and suggested ear plugs might will be the order of the evening. I only mention this in case we are a bit quieter than normal at the Fish on Monday (well not much) following the festivities on Sunday. Moving on......we have a poor record at the Fish against both teams and despite the nice captain from the Glynde wanting us to receive start we are actually giving it away, the draw is important and maybe the birthday girl can win again against this opposition so Silent (finally) tips a 3-2 home win Laughing Fish K (4,700) have a bye this week - the stars of the game will have the evening off and Terry will be very grateful for a quiet and peaceful night indoors to recover from the Inter-League cacophony of Sunday

After a woeful tipping performance of last week , let's see if these are any better. Black Horse 2 Plough 3 The away team to take the spoils in a close match. Hikers 4 Cock 1 Hopefully Captain Little Legs won't get drawn out first and confuse the team again. Glynde 3 Hospital Club 2 The league leaders sneak to a narrow victory. Fish W 3 Hollingbury 2 After the celebrations of the night before , sure to tiredness from the birthday girl , tho with Silent and Ray there may not get must rest

Okay, time to make a start on marking the Tipsters now.... Absolutely spot on with the result for 3 points plus a bonus for for topical comments. A 3-2 home wins gives me 1 point.... plus a Tetley bonus with Richard just falling short of 20k this time. The big "shock" result of the week means only a bonus point here for me. A 3-2 away win means just a bonus point here this time. Laughing Fish K (4,700) have a bye this week The Kippers will enjoy their week of rest and watch the League Cup title head east this season.... the handicaps have worked well this year and made this competition very close so well done to the organisers again. I'm trying to find a justifiable reason to claim a bonus point here.... .... I can't really find one.... .... but will give one anyway as I was so nice about the organisers! BB Warrior - 9 points

BigTJ is next.... Black Horse to take to the gallops and with the handicap not really coming into effect they will have the lead horse on the plough to have a straight furrow to a 3-2 win One point for the home win plus a topical bonus point. Hikers Rest have to give a fair start and I think they will be crowing and the Cock and Balls will be crying into their beer after suffering a 4-1 defeat. One point for the home win plus a toipical bonus Glynde are singing saprano at the top of the league and although having to give a fair start will still come away with a3-2 win and the Hospital will go home licking their wounds and back to the ward. Possibly the high pitched voices heard at Glynde last night were caused by the very effective vasectomy operation carried out by the visiting medical staff? No points for the result but 2 bonus points awarded for topical humour. Laughing Fish W have a small start but I think if the scorer can make themselves heard they will be the minnows of the evening as the awesome Albion Captain leads his troops to a 3-2 win, and will go back home Hollerburying to Peacehaven. Spot on with the result for 3 good points, plus a bonus for topical humour.... and another bonus for "Hollerburying" as that is a great expression for the awesome visiting Captain! Laughing Fish K will lose ground on the leaders and drop down the league table, but will take the time to rest their weary gills and return full of energy and have a whale of a time in the remainng handicap[ games. Worth a bonus point for sure. BigTJ - 12 points

Our film guru Gandalf is next.... The Black Horse v Plough 100 for the guests with 3 breaks and a favourable draw it could be the longest day for the hosts and a night to remember for the visitors with the plough cutting to the Chase and taking their opportunities should come out with the wheels of the Stagecoach falling off, the result a 3-2 away win No points for the result.... but a bonus point given for the humour. Hikers v The Cock with 2300 start the hosts may be walking over a bridge too far tonight with no road back leaving the Cock to maintain their grip on the available weapons successfully coming up trumps with another 3-2 away win A 3-2 home win gives you just a bonus for the humour Glynde v Hospital another 2300 start for the visitors but the main medicine man wont get up the hill tonight, the hosts should come out on top unless some true grit leaks out of the visitors wounds and a sizable ransom paid. 3-2 home win No points again for the result.... but a bonus for topical comments. Fish W's V Albion 300 start for the guests The rock of ages will roll over the w's, the guests guilty of the offence of having a draw in their favour. 3-2 away win Spot on with the result to earn 3 points. With Ths K's standing down tonight they would have just cause in supporting the Hospital, to up the conflict and make things more interesting in the run in It certainly keeps the competition (just about) alive.... have a bonus point. Watch out, there may be some red herrings for the fish to spot in this themed tipping Have another bonus point for another good theme this week. Gandalf - 8 points

Silent is next.... (2,800) Black Horse v Plough Plumpton (2,700) - Close handicaps and a very close match is my forecast, despite having 3 breaks the Plough will still be reeling from their thrashing last week so Silent tips a 3-2 home win One point for the home win.... some close games in the match also earn you a bonus point. ((4,800) Hikers Rest v Cock'n'Balls (2,500) - 2300 in 3 legs sounds a lot to receive for the nice Cock team (whoops) but the table is pretty good so one mistake can be curtains so Silent tips a 3-2 home win And Silent was quite correct to do that and earn himself 3 points.... plus a bonus for the very nice comments about the visiting team and the home table which were clearly reflected in the scores here. (4,800) Glynde Club v Hospital Club (2,500) - A short journey along the A27 (good knowledge) for the away team to the League leaders who are in awesome form...could they win 5-0 again? I don't think history will repeat itself so Silent tips a 4-1 home win Another tipster is caught out by the 3-2 away win.... no points for the result but a "SatNav Special" bonus point awarded. (3,100) Laughing Fish W v Albion Hollingbury (3,400) - A ramble before the tip....this match will be played the day after the birthday of one of the away team and also an Inter-League match at Worthing where the noise levels will reach a crescendo (good word WC) with 4 Stoners, 2 or 3 Oakleys, Silent and the rest of Chipman's army in attendance. No confidence in his own team as he predicted a home win so no points for the result.... but a bonus given for the "volume" of content rather than the "quality"! Laughing Fish K (4,700) have a bye this week - the stars of the game will have the evening off and Terry will be very grateful for a quiet and peaceful night indoors to recover from the Inter-League cacophony of Sunday I understand that Terry was actually giving you some verbal stick during the Inter League match? That has to be worth a bonus point - for Terry! The "stars of the game".... okay, you can have a bonus point for creeping! Silent - 10 points

How did Little Legs get on this week.... After a woeful tipping performance of last week , let's see if these are any better. Let me give you a "feel-good" bonus point to cheer you up as a starting point this week. Black Horse 2 Plough 3 The away team to take the spoils in a close match. No points for the result.... but I did give Silent a bonus for saying it would be a close game so I will give you a bonus point as well. Hikers 4 Cock 1 Hopefully Captain Little Legs won't get drawn out first and confuse the team again. A 3-2 home win earns you a point.... not sure that you enjoyed playing last though with Richard hitting nearly 20k past you so that must deserve a sympathy point as well! Glynde 3 Hospital Club 2 The league leaders sneak to a narrow victory. It was the visitors that took the spoils.... but sneak earns a bonus point as it made me smile. Fish W 3 Hollingbury 2 After the celebrations of the night before , sure to tiredness from the birthday girl , tho with Silent and Ray there may not get must rest A 3-2 away win thanks to the awesome captain in the decider means no points for the result.... but a birthday bonus point awarded plus a bonus point as I am sure you were right about Silent and Ray! Little Legs - 7 points

Hi bbw you,ve been busy, but have found plenty that are not part of the theme and could be penalised by the bonus committee Yes, of course that is true, not even you could be clever enough to work out a theme to include all of those films.... But, the Tipsters controller could obviously then decide that "themes" form no part of the Tipsters competition at all and therefore all points previously awarded could be deducted with further penalties also added!

On the subject of "themes", has anyone else noticed a recurring theme in some of Gandalf's recent result posts.... both in Lewes League and another league that he regularly plays in? I will award 3 bonus points for anyone that works out what the theme is and a bonus point for each example found of it.

I normally have quite a lot of sympathy for players that have to play poor tables but what I found amusing was that all 3 of his recent comments about this were made after he had played HOME matches at either Glynde or the Smugglers in Worthing League! I had better not put down the scores of the game that I played against TJ on Monday at the Smugglers, I will simply say that I would like to play on rubbish tables like that more often!

Since Gandalf has now finished marking his part for this week.... [ Points Summary 9 of 10 BBW 6 pts A night to remember, No Road Back, Ransom, The Offence, Just Cause, The Hill Silent 6 pts (theme Sean Connery Movies) A bridge too far, The Longest Day, Medicine Manupdated 17/03/15[/quote] .... let's see what other bonus points we can award (or deduct!) this week. We will start with Gandalf who can LOSE a point for having a grizzle about the table.... the Glynde top was difficult tonight making it hard work to battle down the handicaps .... since it is his HOME table he would have been the person to set it up so no point in grumbling about it afterwards! He does however gain a point for his good sportsmanship in congratulating their opponents on their victory.... but well done the hospital club for their "unexpected" win. Probably the best win this season for them vanquishing their old team mates .... even though he then lost that point due to his amazing modesty.... I guess we are not as indestructible as we thought .... although I am sure that the "indestructables" will be loudly cheered when the collect the League Cup trophy on finals night! Silent nearly joined Gandalf in the "penalty area" when I read this part of his match report.... (300) Ray 3280 - 6040 Silent** - I was going to write that I was brilliant from start to finish .... but honesty quickly followed.... but don't think I would get away with that from the watching team-mates I was WOEFUL but somehow after Ray had got very nearly 3k in his first break I fell over the line, having the break back about 6 times missing the right hand 50 numerous times and getting justifiably barracked by the rest of the team. How on earth did I get 6k?? I did play some brilliant recovery shots .... and he earns a special "WOEFUL" bonus as he knows that is one of my favorite expressions when things don't go right on the night! I'm not sure what happened to the match report from Little Legs this week, luckily Bobhall was on hand to give us some details of a very high scoring match at the Hikers Rest.... I don't have scores but here is a rough guide Brian 4k Derek 7k (j) Boball 18k huw 300 Kev 10k Ben 2.7k (j) Jean 10k mick 3000 (j) Little legs 0 richard 19970 in two breaks he was told to touch up but couldn't do it so broke down on 14k when on course for 20k .... so Bobhall earns a bonus point for doing that. The final word on the week went to Gandalf.... i bow down to your superhero skills Dave 10 points grovelling bonus .... but it is only worth ONE point or everybody will start to think that I am a soft touch!! Sadly, no entry from JB this week which means that the final scores are as follows.... Silent - 10+6+1 = 17 points BB Warrior - 9+6 = 15 points BigTJ - 12+0 = 12 points Gandalf - 8+3-1+1-1+1 = 11 points Little Legs - 7+0 = 7 points Bobhall - 0+1 = 1 point
