Thanks to St Francis for playing this match having a lack of players at short notice.

A Great 5.7K opening break from Chris Little in the first game.

A good end to our season & look forward to being back in the Premier Division next year.

How the final week's drama unfurled, as described by Roy:

Watermill 1 Hassocks A 4
Almost but not quite, that was where it finished up for the Hassocks A team despite this conclusive win at Worlds End. Jenny Edwards played her part with a win in the first frame over Paul Blackburn but a Dilly Williamson defeat in the next by a determined Kim Stenning took it back to evens. Peter Edwards took the third leg, beating a black pegging Neil Johnson and the match win came with a win for Derek Taylor over Mark Ridley. The last point went to Colin Humphrey who defeated Gavin Boyd. The Watermill can treasure the Premier division spoon for next season and plan their comeback into the top flight.

Congratulations to the Plough in retaining their title as Champions of the Mid-Sussex Bar Billiards League. In the end it was very close as Hassocks A fought hard to close the gap. Geoff Fairs stepped up first for the visitors against Trevor Appleby and maintained a good lead with his opponent wasn’t able to overcome. Doug Mahy came back hard in the second frame, building up a useful lead, but a 3K break for Chase Newman was enough to secure the game and a 2 nil lead. Then we saw a battle between the players currently topping the averages and although Dave Knight took the lead early on, a 3K break and 5750 finish for Nick Brown proved enough for the win and has won him the title of Player of the Year. 5960 for Neil Higgins in the fourth was too good for Darren Newnham and the match score went to 2 all. The decider was a ladies’ game with Ros Appleby pitched against Jan Bithell who eventually overcame the attentions of the home side skipper and got the win that the Plough needed.

It's been an interesting season to follow from my point of view.
