One more sporting poll for the US Golf Masters starting this Thursday at Augusta. As usual Tiger Wood will start favourite. Phil Mickleson is the reigning champ.
I can't see past Tiger Woods for this one. Retief Goosen is a good each way bet at 28/1 as he has been always there or thereabouts in the last couple of years. Tim Clark also may be a good each way bet at 125/1 as he was runner up last year.
Woods, Tiger 5/4 Mickelson, Phil 7/1 Els, Ernie 12/1 Singh, Vijay 16/1 Goosen, Retief 28/1 Furyk, Jim 33/1 Garcia, Sergio 33/1 Scott, Adam 33/1 Ogilvy, Geoff 33/1 Stenson, Henrik 33/1 Howell, Charles 33/1 Donald, Luke 40/1 Harrington, Padraig 40/1 Casey, Paul 40/1 Immelman, Trevor 40/1 Dimarco, Chris 50/1 Olazabal, Jose-Maria 50/1 Rose, Justin 66/1 Allenby, Robert 66/1 Toms, David 80/1 Weir, Mike 80/1 Cabrera, Angel 80/1 Love Iii, Davis 80/1 Ames, Stephen 80/1 Baddeley, Aaron 80/1 Appleby, Stuart 100/1 Cink, Stewart 100/1 Howell, David 100/1 Campbell, Chad 100/1 Choi, Kyoung Ju 100/1 Glover, Lucas 100/1 Clarke, Darren 125/1 Clark, Tim 125/1 Bjorn, Thomas 125/1 Henry, J J 125/1 Moore, Ryan 125/1 Perry, Kenny 125/1 Poulter, Ian 125/1 Westwood, Lee 125/1 Crane, Ben 125/1 Johnson, Zach 125/1 Montgomerie, Colin 125/1 O'Hern, Nick 125/1 Pampling, Rod 125/1 Stricker, Steve 125/1 Bryant, Bart 150/1 Karlsson, Robert 150/1 Lehman, Tom 150/1 Pettersson, Carl 150/1 Verplank, Scott 150/1 Curtis, Ben 150/1 Edfors, Johan 150/1 Campbell, Michael 200/1 Singh, J-M 250/1

I agree with you about the Tiger Nigel but i think the English lads are going to feature with three in particular, Paul Casey, Justin Rose and Ian Poulter all are playing good golf of late and i am sure one of these three will challange the Tiger.

Paul Casey is a possibility to win, but Ian Poulter and Justin Rose are far to inconsistant to win on a course like the one at Augusta. My tip for the title is the South African Trevor Immelman.

Not a bad effort by our english boys with Justin Rose finishing 5th and Paul Casey 10th and Ian Poulter 13th, shame Justin played a bad tee shot on the 17th as he was in with a chance of winning i wish he had of won i had £2 e/w at 80-1 :-(

Well Zach certainly came out of nowhere, but what about that chip on the last hole to leave the tap-in ? Justin was certainly well-placed though, right up to the 17th when he sliced his tee shot into the pine trees. That's what pressure does.

Good tournament from Justin Rose. After nightmare starts on the 3rd and 4th days he settled down and posted good scores. Many lesser players would have faltered in the same situation. Some supposedly greater players did.

My bets were on Luke Donald (50-1), Tim Clark (150-1) and Fred Couples (125-1). I was a bit excitable when I saw TIm Clark leading after round 2, but an 80 effectively ended his hopes. Donald got into joint 2nd after a chip for an eagle on the 9th in the final round, but then took a triple bogey on the next!!!
I thought Rose played really well to get himself into contention after a tough start on the final day - he is at last showing what a good player he is, hard to believe that open he played as an amateur was about 9 years ago now. Harrington disappointed a bit it was a big chance for him and he never really got going.
I was impressed with Zach Johnson, but it shouldn't be too much of a surprise he made the Ryder Cup team last year.
