The visitors were unfortunate to give the break back to the home players in a couple of the games and we were grateful of their generosity. Enjoyable evening in good company with a nice spread of Sweet & Sour Chicken Balls, Sausages, Chips and Prawn Crackers kindly supplied by Gina from the next door take away.

County Oak 3-2 Albion A N.Senior 15,620 - 1700 H.Brooks** - H missed early, it took Nige two goes to get it back but no messing around with an excellent 10k+ break for the first leg **C.Reeves 10,090 - 4,310 R.Cunningham - Chris missed on only 50, try as he might Rick couldn't get the break back. Chris did give him another chance later on but it was just a brief one and Chris sealed the leg with a nice break. 2 down and I thought it would a long night M.Chipman 730 - 12,900 J.Oakley** - Excellent first break of 9.6k from Joe well done the 6th man!! and to Chippers who was very gracious in defeat **G.Lloyd 4880 - 8640 M.Knight - Gareth missed early, and then gave me another chance which I managed to take with an 8.2k break, typically making it hard for myself right near the end of the break having to play a couple of shots off the side cushion Gareth very gracious in defeat as well I.Lelliott 6530 - 5780 T.Jenner** - A tense and nervy decider with both players having one up troubles. TJ built a 2k lead after a couple of goes each at the break. There was an extremely fortunate 200 shot on the way which helped get the break back and changed the leader before Tony played a brilliant shot off the back cushion to move a ball near the peg but went unrewarded. Once getting in front Ian maintained his small lead all the way to the bar to give the home side a narrow win Well done to the County Oak on their win, despite the result it was a fantastic match, competitive but very enjoyable. We gave it a right good go but it was not to be, thanks to the staff at the Oak, we were looked after extremely well

Thanks Chunky and Bobhall, I have amended the score.... and the team name! I think I must have overdosed on the Sweet & Sour Sauce last night....

LOL - deliberate act so that the same scorecard could be displayed four times on the same thread.
