Well done to Sussex A. 8-) They comprise 80% of the England team, so you could say that England selection is well and truly vindicated in this instance.

Final positions from yesterday were
Div 1 P W L Score Pts 1 Sussex A 6 5 1 114,980 19 2 Oxon 6 2 4 103,920 17 3 Sussex B 6 3 3 78,550 12 4 Surrey A 6 2 4 79,220 12
Div 2 P W L Score Pts 1 Kent 6 6 0 72,590 22 2 Berks 6 3 3 64,030 18 3 Surrey B 6 0 6 40,110 5
Sussex A retained the County title with their 5th win in 6 years. Oxon made a bright start winning 9 of their first 10 legs but faded and lost their last 4 matches, Sussex A beating them twice came through to win by 2 points. Sussex B (the first B team to appear in div 1 indicating the strength in depth in Sussex) did very well to finish 3rd to relegate a strong Surrey A side. Sussex B only won 1 out of their first 10 legs but then beat Surrey A, Oxon and Sussex A all 3-2 and then held on in the last match to take 2 legs of Surrey A and see them relegated. Jean Over topped the averages and won 6 out of 6 and also got the highest break (6,900). Sue Mariner also won 6 out of 6.
In Division 2, the Kent ladies won a very close fight with Berks. The teams were on 18 points apiece going into the last series of games, with 4 legs left to play. Despite feeling the rigours of playing 6 matches, Kent took all 4 to secure promotion back into division 1 after one year in division 2. Surrey B propped up the table on 5 points. Kent deserved the win especially as they won all 6 matches. Jackie Peckham and Ann Kenn went through unbeaten with 6 wins out of 6. No high break was recorded so we gave the trophy for the highest score which was Berk's Anne Rowley's 4,530.
Well done the ladies on a good day and hope everyone is pleased they got 6 games. It was tough getting scorers because with only 35 players present (and 16 always playing) there were not many people available to score, so thanks to KT and a few others for stepping in at times which meant we finished on the time planned. Hopefully there will be a couple of more teams next year.
Here are the averages from yesterday, sorry if it is awkward to read on here but I will get Sav to put it on the England website.

Sav Did some research last night and found a pair of filters to clean up the files. I've run them and the files are much smaller. Can peeps pm me with comments on what browser/opsys they are using and whether there are any problems viewing the intercounty stats Sav

Presentation of the stats on the recent AEBBA events is fine, Sav. I can access within a matter of seconds via "Links to other bar billiards sites" on the "General" section of this board.
One tiny bit that should be tidied if you can: On the division one (mens) the first scorecard for match between Kent and Sussex is not headed up correctly ('Sussex' appears above the names of the Kent players). Not that momentous really - we all know what the score is !
