It would also be helpful if you could let me know the teams either on here or by pm so I can get the names put in the spreadsheets saving a bit of time on the day.

Hi Jean I know it must say on one of the threads somewhere (or maybe on the Sussex County website ) but, for the avoidance of doubt... where is it being held?

Good luck to all taking part over the next two weekends.
Thanks to the Club for hosting, to those organising on the day. To Kev Hall,Jean Brackenridge and especially Rick Cunningham )nothing to do with the Sussex Committee) for all their help from 7.30pm last night in unloading, erecting and setting up the tables. To Dave Alder for delivering the tables after a day at work. Without these people we would not have competitions
Once again enjoy your particular days, and look forward to the usual high standard. To those not playing pop along and support.

Well done to Brighton B on winning today on 22 points, Worthing B and Redhill ended on 21 points, Worthing B being runners up as they won more matches. Thanks to Colin Southouse for running the day.

An excellent day well run by Colin. There were some very close and competitive matches on some challenging but perfectly playable tables. The first four teams were separated by just four points. Going into the last round of matches Brighton B needed 'just' one leg to win but after the first five legs had been played we had managed BFZ Fortunately Michelle came up trumps winning the decisive leg to give the mighty bees the victory To emphasise the competitive nature of the day no-one won all 5 legs they played....ten players managed four wins......and everybody won at least one leg, good stuff and pleasing to see

Also to the club and everyone else involved in admin and setting up the tables. Well done to Mid Sussex on claiming the victory, with all their players showing good form on the day and Boball getting the perfect 8 from 8. Oh what could have been had Horsham been able to have a full squad. We got more last minute injuries than Man Utd and questions have to be asked if we are training our players too hard!!!! Sorry to the players from the other teams who had the bye and didn't get their full allocation of matches. Some of the tables were difficult in certain areas but were all playable as shown by the good scores and breaks made during the day. Table 4 was particularly nice and had 20k potential, wouldn't you agree Boball?

A thoroughly enjoyable day and I was honoured to play for Ding/Mick as a last Interleague hurrah to make their numbers up. How ironic that Horsham with potentially such a strong squad were let down at the last minute and had to play with six. An incredible achievement to get runners-up whilst giving away 8 frames ! Well done to Mid Sussex on the championship and a return to the big time in 12 months' time. Succulent fare as usual from Mr Robbins. Our thanks to Jean who administered the day single-handedly, including a raffle which raised £130 for SCBBA coffers. Jean, you're a treasure !

'Twas the turn of the Ladies today and an excellent day was spent in great company and some great bar billiards played along the way.
Congrats to Redhill A and Brighton A who carried off the victory spoils (not sure which way round). Many thanks to Hayley T and Chrissie N who guested for Horsham and helped us to 3rd (aided by Ding, Vicky and Margo).
The competition ran well thanks to Nige and Silent and a raffle raised £100. Grateful thanks to whoever else had a hand in setting up the day.
