Mick Green, a.k.a. Grocer. If it the person I think you are thinking of Mark. Micky Green who played Brighton bar billiards in the early 80s was never a grocer, he was a driving instructor

Micky Green who played Brighton bar billiards in the early 80s was never a grocer, he was a driving instructor Hi Dave, yes it's the same player, he won the Sussex singles during a meteoric rise, but left the game shortly after. I wasn't suggesting that he was a grocer by trade, that was the nickname by which he was known during his (albeit brief) heyday.
