A great effort from the England team on Saturday night winning against a Guernsey side fresh from their victory against Jersey the week before .
The night started with the 6 pairs matches. All the games seemed to be one sided as all matches were either 5-0 or 4-1.
Fitz/ Martin got England's only 5-0 win with Guernsey having two 5-0 wins for Ian/Bob and Trevor/Andrew. At the end of the pairs it was clear is was going to be a close one but England were 17-13 up.
Going in to the last 6 games which could be worth 12 points , England were 6 points ahead so everything was still to play for. We managed to secure the points in the last legs to get a 39-27 win.


Out of the 12 singles matches there were seven 3-0 wins. Two for Guernsey , Andrew Rundle and Darren Ogier and 5 for England,Martin Smith, Mark Brewster, Ian Lelliott , Nigel Senior and Paul Sainsbury.

Well played team and a big well done to Guernsey for making it such a close match.
