Players may not practice on the day of the match on any table that they have been drawn on to play in any competition. Any player found in breach of this rule will be eliminated from the competition and the match awarded to his/her opponent.
Edit. Following a committee meeting This rule will not apply to players on their HOME TABLE in the Seniors Competition for the rest of the competition this season. Please only use this thread to post the results of Semi Final matches.

Neil and I won against Andy and Pete last night at the Cock Inn.
Pete and I didn't really turn up, so it was mainly a battle between Neil and Andy, with Neil getting the break back at the crucial time in both games.

I beat Ted 2-1 last night at the Plough. For whatever reason we both seemed to struggle with the table, but I managed to be in front when it mattered. Ted unluckily took out the black going for the the 200 in the decider.
Many thanks to Geoff Fairs for scoring our match - and then showing us how to play the table with a good 5K break in a game with Dave Knight!

According to Lorraine,
Mens Singles final will be between Derek Taylor and Pete Edwards;
Ladies Singles final will be between Jan Bithell and Lorraine Hall;
Open Doubles will be between Dave Knight/Darren Newnham and Neil Higgins/Ros Appleby;
Mixed Doubles will be between Adam & Nikki Bateup and Darren Newnham & Jan Bithell.
Senior Singles still to play - in advance of Finals Night.

Both semis of the Senior singles were played last night:
Neil 3-0 Geoff, Ros 3-2 Chase.
Neil was on top form and won both legs at the Brewers. Geoff led for most of the first game at the Plough, but Neil got the break back and made a 5k break in the final minutes to take the game and the match.
Chase won my break game at the Brewers and I won his. Chase took the first at the Plough, but I took the second and the last. I don't have the scores, but they were 5 incredibly tight games - every game had an aggregate score of around 8k and all were decided by around 500 to 1000 in the final minutes.
Thanks to Trevor for helping out with the scoring.
The final is scheduled at the Brewers for Sunday 5th at 8.30pm
