Due to the high number of entrants this season, it is not quite possible to assign a venue and time to all ties. It is therefore requested that the last 2 ties listed be arranged between those contestants and to be played by Sept. 27th. Additionally as the opposing contestants are from the same team, it is permissible for the ties to be played on their own table or on a neutral table of both their choosing.

Rick Cunningham beat Melissa Beach 2-0 at the Dew Drop tonight

After a phone call for a no show my opponent advises he didn't enter the singles. Guess I'll claim it then.

Declan and myself slugged it out on the Dewdrop table.

I came away the happier with a 2-0 win

Me and Dave had a good battle on The Swan with me just doing enough in the 3rd game to win 2-1.
It was a shame that Josh turned up but his opponent didn't turn up or let him know he was not.

Some results from tonight....

At the Locomotive.... Kevin Charlton beat Ken Williams 2-0, a couple of 3k breaks proving enough with the balls not running the way of WolfLord on the night.

At the Prince of Wales....

Ian Cross beat Gary Evans 2-1. Ian won the first game 5k - 1.5k, Gary hit back to win the second game 6.7k to 1.2k, both players off around 2k but Ian first to get the balls back and took the win.

I beat Daniel Wheal 2-1 in a very good game. Daniel opened with 8.7k in the first game to make sure, I played the table out for 4k. I opened with 8.5k in the second, Daniel got the balls back but was off on 2k, I finished the game off with another 4k. Daniel was up to nearly 8k in the decider when he unfortunately lost his score when a ball whipped out of a pocket, I gratefully made 4k and touched to take the win.

Nice selection of sarnies, pork pies and chicken bites provided at the Prince and the table is playing very well there now.
