Just got home and tuned in to Who Wants To Be A Millionaire ? and Bernie McCluskey is one of the ones trying to be "Fastest Finger First".
He hasn't got into the chair yet.

He was one of only four out of nine to get the rapid maths question right but unfortunately was fourth fastest.
Come on mate, hopefully you'll get one more chance.

Well that's it, a bloody shame, 'cos the last in the chair took 2k but took so long making her mind up about it and the programme just ran out of time. And like with the previous contestant Tarrant used up time trying to get them to change their mind. >:(

One more name on the Bar Billiards "TV appearance hall of fame list" that includes my pairs partner Ian "Champ" Champion who appeared on Blind Date. Any volunteers for Big Brother ?

Two more people I know have been on Millionaire - Andy Meldrum Jr, who used to play in the old Crawley League with John Turner and me in the early 80's - Andy suffered the same fate as Bernie, though he claimed that he got the answer in three seconds but his handset wasn't working ! ::) And Chess Grandmaster Jim Plaskett (who I've never played but whose games I've watched at close hand several times.) Jim went on to win £250,000.
Funnily enough, Stormin, I've played Ian Champion at Chess ! Over in Jersey one year. He's a lovely-natured guy and was far too good for the stupid tart who rejected him on Blind Date.
The other TV celebrity from the bar billiards world is Martin Pellett who was on Winner Takes All (?) or some similar quiz show, and was well and truly stitched up with some overly-difficult questions.

Whilst working on HMS Victory in the early 90's (1990's that is), I appeared on New Zealand TV. It was a program about the Round The World Yacht Race which was finishing in the Solent.

Well my claim to fame is I appeared on BBC breakfast (presented by Frank Bough at the time) doing exercises with the "Green Goddess" Diana Moran circa 1982. I was wearing a Tshirt with the cartoon characters from the Perishers.
