Hassocks A 3, Windmill Crawley 2 Derek Taylor 0, BigJimSilverFox 19310 (a complete playout) Darren Newnham 9180, Graham Daniels 3360 Lorraine Hall 5430, Johnny Haigh 1850 Boball 6820, Vicky Timson 2200 Peter Edwards 990, Mick Holmwood 6850
A good sociable evening, a first visit to play at this venue for all of us. Tasty pizzas provided, along with pasties.
Mr Mike showing no adverse effects after his health scare, good to see him back and in such good form. Foxy's tally could have been 20k when you consider that his first few splits were for 50/10 until he found the perfect spot to leave the one-up. But well played the Hassocks A team, worthy winners on the night.

Plough 4 Watermill 1
Chase 5660 Gavin 1330 Dave 1740 Tony 0 Jan 2540 Kim 2600 I think these are the correct scores apologies if not. Geoff 6600 Paul 910 Richard 1760 Sabina 220
This was a game we should have won as apart from games 1 and 4 which Chase and Geoff played really well we should have won the other three.Tony black pegged on a 2000 break which if kept would have won him the game and Sabina also black pegged when in front in a low scoring game against Richard.Although Kim could quite easily have lost his game as it was a last ball game and Kim potted it at his second try.

Think whoever wrote the scores down for my game might have put them in the wrong columns. Should read Jan 2060 Kim 2540 We did indeed have a bit of luck with the black pegs.....

We were fortunate because the result could easily have been a 3-2 win for St Francis: Games 1 and 4 were really close all the way through and were only resolved after the bar dropped. A great 6k break by Nick and several decent breaks by Neil sealed games 2 and 3. Shaun was on a good break in the 5th, that looked to have me buried, when he missed a ball at the back. Good company at the club, as always. Generous supplies of nice sarnies too

Cock HL 1 HHUSC B 4
Chris Farrow 1440 Iang 2900 David Croft 2150 Darrell Skinner 1930 Sam Hall 3370 Steve King 5100 Dave Tiffin 1740 Paul Jobbins 5160 Kevin Stevens 2360 Chris Kirkham 3040
Good games all round but well done in game 3 Steve was 4K up when Sam got the break back and made 3K but couldn't quite catch Steve. Paul was best of the night who quickly got the feel for the table.
Thanks to Dave & co for a good night and some tasty Roast Beef in Yorkshire puds.
