Windmill C'y 3, HHUSC B 2 Vicky BP, Paul Jobbins 6720 Margo 520, Steve King 5400 the homesters once again 'under the cosh'... tommo 3970, Ian Giffen 3440 Johnny 5340, Chris Kirkham 3040 Mick 7400, Darrell Skinner 1380
Ian desperately unlucky in game 3, had caught me up but had a ball teetering on the brink; just as he had resolved which way to play it, the ball dropped which put him off for his next shot, the break. A further chance for the match win came in game 4 with Chris making the early running before Johnny finished off with a break of 4k. Mick applied the icing to the cake in the last. A good sociable evening with our 'second string' of old (memories of Handcross SC). Barry Timson put in a personal appearance, good to see him for the first time in many months, and looking exceptionally well.

A lot of players seemed to struggle last night as the table had had a new top fitted and was faster than the old top.

Ros did at least have the consolation of setting a new Ladies' away high break of 4750.

Cock HL V CKRBL postponed due the Cock being closed during the change of ownership. Our rearranged match was played last night, and: Cock HL 1, CKRBL 4 No-one really got to grips with the table last night - no scores over 3K - but the Legion boys did rather better than us. Thanks to them though for making for an entertaining evening of billiards. Thanks too to our new landlady who provided us with a nice spread of chicken goujons, sausages and chips.
