Springbok Club 2 Alfold SC 3
Trevor 870 Major 3200
Major set the pace and I simply messed up my attempt of the split and that was about it, despite Major losing loads of points I simply could not get to grips.
Gary 1720 Garry 3800
Young Gary had control of the game right until the death when Garry put a break of 2.5k together as the bar dropped.
Robin 4700 Sam 4420
Sam started with 2.5K with Robin coming back with 4K. Sam then took control of the table and put another 2 K on the board. Robin nudged ahead as the bar dropped, leaving enough balls for Sam, but it was not to be. A great Game.
Graham 1280 Dave 3050
After a 3 year break Graham came out of retirement to help us out. Though a little rusty he made a valiant attempt, but Dave remained steady and focused to claim the point.
Mike 2480 Kelly 1500
Mike was in control from the start with some decent play, Kelly did not falter in her challenge and made a real game of it.
A really pleasant night at the Stout House, who provided lovely sandwiches at the end.

The Blue Ship 2 The Mighty A Team 3 (Played at Roffey Cricket Club)
Steve 2,750 Phil 1,600 Steve took the first break, but lost some scores in the early part of the game, after that it was a game of attrition. To Steve's relief he managed to win the game with the final break of about 1.3k
Simon 850 Chelsea 7,150 After the opening breaks the scores were quite even, obviously Chelsea came to a grinding halt with one of his famous Chelsea shots. However soon after he took control with a 3.5k break, and then after potting all the balls except one, which Simon left obligingly on the white peg spot. This enabled Chelsea to get the highest score of the match
Mick 1,570 Yours Truly 4,850 After the opening breaks, things were again quite even. Although for some reason I was not happy when playing the one-up shot, I was able to get control of the game with a 3.6k break. Again A Chelsea attack brought this break to an end
Porge 5,590 James 2,890 After the opening breaks Porge had a lead of over 2k, which James quickly reduced to under 1k. Porge was able to control the game and so we had a Desmond at 2 - 2
Ding 1,220 Tony 4,210 A break of 2.6k early in the match enabled Tony to control the game, everything Ding tried unfortunately did not work. Of course a Chelsea attack also brought Tony's good break to an end
So despite taking the prescribed medication, the Mighty A Team are still susceptible to the odd Chelsea attack
An excellent night with friends, and a special thanks to Junkie and his mum for the sandwiches

For those of you that do not know what a "Chelsea" is it is a medical condition that could effect any bar billiards player and has been around since Bar Billiards started
It usually happens when a player is taking the break, despite the brain saying "Hit it harder", the message fails to reach the cue arm. As a result both balls remain on the table, quite close or even closer to the two fifty pockets
Recently, I have come to realise that this condition could be contagious, Unfortunately no cure is currently known although medication is now available

Affold SC 3 CPO'S 0 RSSC 5 Zanny 760 Fishy 2,760 Rachely 1,270 Twiggy 1,650 Stevy 620 Dicky 4,710 Guyey 670 Clacky 4,110 Andy 620 Sniffy 5,690
OK what to say, We found out Rachel can't do it certain ways. We discovered Steve sniffs ladies knickers. We also found a new way to get the break when Andy was told to split it like he had Guy's sister. I found this most amusing although having had a sheltered upbringing not quite sure what it was all about.
Fun evening with a good bunch of youngsters, thanks to Southwater club for a mammoth spread of sarines etc.
