Our table was also tricky - fine at the front, but very whippy at the back. Terrific evening with the Cock, the banter flying thick and fast - with all the innuendos that our Wivelsfield friends are famous for. Did I mention wobbles?

John was unlucky to Black peg a winning score & ran out of time and couldn't catch Dom. Straight ball up the middle and drifted in from the right ? I had two of those, the fact that it's the former CKRBL table completely slipping my mind...d'oh !

Yup.
A great shame as John had played really well with a good score on the board & another in the making.

Result of a postponed game played last night. Windmill's miserable second half continues, but before you laugh we have no divine right to win away on a strange table and the 2pts just about keeps us in the mix.....St Francis 3, Windmill C'y 2 (in order played) Neil Henry 1780, Vicky 2100 Manly Harveys 2920, Mick 2300 Bob Ellis 890, Foxy 3610 Youth Academy 2290, Graham 1950 Special One 3450, Johnny 1650 Two close games: Vicky getting us off to a good start, and Roger playing out of his skin to level the match at 2-all. Some mega-sized cornish pasties helped to take the sting out of defeat ! It was good to see Gerry Smith again after a good many years, a real icon of MSBBL's past. Unfortunately he has become obliged to hang up his cue for good due to an eye condition. He has kindly lent me his book of Interleague scores covering the period Oct 1987 to April 1990, so these will shortly be added to the website.
