County Oak A 2 Albion Fishersgate C 3 Nigel Senior 8,410 - 6,060* Grant Tully Early chances for both players before Nigel got to grips with the table and made a 6.7k break, Grant got the balls back but never had time to catch. 1-0 Gareth Lloyd 16,400* - 0 Jim Millward A superb play out by Gareth who never missed a 100 split, the table ran 3 minutes shorter than the first game or he would probably have made 20k. Jim whipped a 100 split out fairly early in his reply. 2-0 Martin Smith 1,680 - 12,740* Geoff Jukes Geoff going well until he whipped out a split on 12,490 that wobbled the peg, Martin never settled and was off fairly early. 2-1 Ian Lelliott 1,960* - 13,150 Dave Ingram Ian missed a split and had no luck at the back of the table, I had plenty of excursions but managed to keep the break going before touching up on just under 9k and then finished the game off. 2-2 And so to the decider.... Marcus Chipman 3,540 - 9,930* Stuart Mepham Stuart off on 2.2k, Marcus replied with 1.4k. Stuart got the break back and made 4.5k, Marcus break back and chasing hard before coming off on 2k, Stuart made sure this time with another good break. 2-3 A closely fought game that could have gone either way, table playing very well and some nice pizzas provided by the venue on a very enjoyable evening.
