Well i firmly believe that Lewis was stopped at winning the world championship. When Mclaren were found guilty of spying and were excluded from the constructers championship i believe that this also included the drivers as well, but Ecclestone would have committed commercial suicide if this was public as the drivers championship would've effectively been Raikkonens there and then. A deal was done too allow the battle to continue but on the understanding that no mclaren driver wins it, hence the tyre debacle in China and then todays laughable problem with Hamiltons car, it stopped for 30 seconds and then miraculously started up again and completed the race, what a joke. >:(

I must admit it seems mighty strange....
And then to change him to a 3 stopper ?? ?? ?? ??? ???
Have you heard that there is talk of Williams & BMW being disqualified due to fuel irregularities.... that would move Lewis up to 5th and make HIM World Champion.

Well i have just watched the highlights (having known the result already thanks to Keith Lewendon) and I can't understand why Lewis went on a 3 stopper. He had the pace to pass cars anyway, and surely sticking to a similar strategy would be the more likely way of making up places. He only lost maybe 40 seconds max, but was over a lap behind the leaders at the end. If only he made 1 more place...would alonso have let him through????
Just read the stuff about fuel irregularties, can't see them changing the result, the sport will lose any credibility it has left, if it changes the champion now.
With respect to Lewis he has had an incredible seaon and hopefully when he wins the title, this loss will make it feel all the more sweeter when it does.

The positive is that Lewis has had an incredible rookie season and fate seems to have played a part. With all the controversy Lewis has held his head up and not become involved except with incredible maturity and with a sport that has tainted its reputation he has shown nothing but integrity.
