Good evening all,
NOW UPDATED WITH HOTEL PRICES
Work has been going on in the background for the upcoming 2017 tournament so apologies for the 'radio silence' from myself. The time has come however to release the entry forms and a few other pieces of information:
1. Entry forms are attached to this thread however should you have problems in downloading them let me know and I can send some direct to you. You will note that we have had to reluctantly increase entry fees this year to £13 for the singles (£1 increase) and £18 for pairs (£1 increase per player). Please don't hold this against us, as we are a non-profit tournament and all funds are used to purchase trophies and other tournament expenses.
2. Polo shirts are once again on pre-order for £12, colours this year being: 'BLACK', 'HEATHER GREY', 'BOTTLE GREEN' and 'SAPPHIRE'. I have also spoken to our providers and have managed to also obtain 'over-the-head' hoodies in the same colours, these being available at £20 - all with the usual logo. Sizes in all varieties starting at medium.
Please note, should you wish to order at the tournament we can cater for you but at an extra postage cost of £5 per item and a delivery estimate of 2 months.
3. Attention England international players - this years Jersey v England is being held during the course of the weekend for the first time and in order for all players to get a practice on tables we shall be automatically entering the players into the singles tournament (although entry fee will still be required on the weekend). Mr Captain (Curt), when available, please send me your final list of selected players so they can be entered, as we do not want to penalise any England players by not letting them play beforehand.
4. Merton prices:
Twin, sharing B&B - £70 per night (same price for shoulder nights)
Family room (if required) - £120 per night.
Although these may be considered high for visitors please bear in mind that the Merton assist in the tournament by providing not only the venue rooms for free but also via some of the prize giving, therefore please support - as the more that book, the cheaper the following year rates will be.
5. The important bit - we shall have draft ale on sale again over the weekend - prices and varieties to follow.
I think that is it for now but should anything exciting happen I shall let you all know.
Regards
Sean - Tournament Director
