I have no doubt we have quite a few that will remember all of these pubs Clive, and probably played Bar Billiards in most of themn :) :)!!

It's really, we used to have well over 60 teams in the Wycombe leagues, and when you won the premier, or the the mens/ladies singles it really meant something. These days we have eight teams playing out of six venues :(

I will make sure next time I see Charlie I will show him the article and see how many he remembers :)

It's a similar story in these parts, Dawn: at its peak in 1980 the Horsham & District League had 46 teams, now we are down to just nine.

Over the years I have played for 7 different hostelries in the town itself, but since half of an original 42 pubs have been 'lost', there is now just one pub left with a table, this being the Stout House.
