Is how the Div 2 day went classified information, or it is a case of the carrier pigeon being shot down on its way back from Didcot ? I'm sure if a Ladies team had won we'd have heard about it by now, so my money's on Hampshire.

Thanks, Bob. A strong pair of pliers needed to get anything out of All-England these days.

Havn't seen any stats yet The usual eager anticipation in the build up, and exciting foreplay, followed by a damp squib anti-climax - a bit like England football: we should be used to it by now.

Yep must agree!
It’s unfortunate that the people who spend hours of their own time doing the stats, formats etc actually have a personal life in which sometimes things happen that are far more important than bar billiards!
I’m sure these will appear on the AEBBA website soon

It's not so much the AEBBA website part: this we know will happen eventually and a few of us have invested much time and effort into getting the records 99% complete. What is becoming increasingly disappointing is the apparent lack of feedback after the event - unless Warrior, Silent or maybe BigTJ were there to provide a first-hand report. It would be good to see some of the other counties doing their share on the reporting.

Sorry thought it was stats that were wanted
Quote “ haven’t seen any stats yet “
As a quick note has been put on about who won etc I thought detailed stats were requested

There was some excellent reporting on Div One County on page 2 of this thread. But on Div Two, an eclectic mix of B teams, Ladies teams and two 'A' teams, we had to apply the thumbscrews to find even the simplest of info: who were winners and who runners-up. The AEBBA webpage when issued will admittedly fill in the gaps, but cold hard stats don't always capture the essense of the day: ie) was it close ? did the two ladies teams find it more satisfying than the previous arrangement ?
Neither was justice done to the AEBBA Team tournament day: all we have is 1)Tun Wells Con Club; 2)Romans C. And Pauline winning the Special Ladies Open (no surprise there !) but with not even a whisper as to who was runner-up.

Tony well, i would like to know who won how many games at what average for each team, perhaps i'm being unreasonable!

well, i would like to know who won how many games at what average for each team, perhaps i'm being unreasonable! If you are patient, you will be rewarded not only with the 2017 Team Competition stats, but also all-time lists not only by players but also by Team. This is a particularly busy time of year for poor Nigel, who has just lost his dad. Offer's there of help if he requires, but to me it all seems to be under control and up-to-date within reason.

but am looking forward to making ammends in my next excursion to Horsham and working my way inyo the stats ladders There's plenty for you to read about yourself via the Crawley page. I know we've strayed unashamedly - but I'd have thought that by now someone would have been goaded into bringing us back on track with a half-decent report on County Div Two.
