The surplus goes to AEBBA.

I need to state this as I have done all of this event re banking through the AEBBA account and cannot receipt prize monies for the accounts.

I will though draw a lump sum that amounts to the above which will be available on the account sheets next year which you can view.

Congratulations to Jim Millward on winning the 2017 AEBBA Off the Spot. Jim defeated Nigel Senior in the final, he ran the table out for 15k and when Nigel pegged an early split shot he shook hands to confirm Jim as the victor and pretty much cementing his place as one of the best in the business at this format of the game. Jim beat Ian Lelliott in his semi-final and Nigel defeated Matt Jones in the other semi-final, after a break visit each both Nigel and Matt had 200 each!! Nigel settled best after that and made a decent break that Matt couldn't match. Losing quarter-finalists were Gerry Fitzjohn, Martin Cole (a kick on the break robbing Martin the opportunity of chasing Jim's 15k lead), Lee Radford and Dave Ingram.

Well done to Phil Osborne on the winning the plate, Ozzie defeated Barry Radford in the final

A number of thank-yous definitely in order at the end of an excellent tournament in a very good venue (albeit viewing a little tight in the early rounds of the competition). To Chrissie Newson and Dave Alder (supported by Hayley Tunstall) in running the admin desk and Kay Cole for doing the raffle, thanks guys, great job Thanks to all the people involved in setting up (and taking down) some high quality tables, Stuart Mepham, Martin Cole, Trevor Fitzwilliam and Kevin Charlton, I know others helped take them down so thanks to them as well. The re-clothing from Matt Jones really enhancing the quality of the tables. Thanks to the Emsworth Club for hosting us and looking after us with some friendly bar staff and good food. If I have forgotten anyone apologies.

Nice to see some different faces in the competition and I am sure that they will have enjoyed the venue and the tables and will be back next year with the regulars (God willing) as the club has been confirmed as the venue next year

Very good report from Matt and endorse hi thanks to all the organisers and helpers. The standard of the tables was excellent, the venue good, food reasonably priced and good.

When Martin first suggested it I said yes. I have to say he has been a brick.
