Was a brilliant night at the Tavern, thanks to our opponents for entering into the spirit of things. We were in lively mood with a couple of our players having enjoyed themselves a little too much during the day No stopping Rick in the first, H with a fine performance in the second, a whipped one up flying in the 200 the highlight The merriment a little too much for Joe in the third. Excellent performance from home team captain in the fourth against woeful opponent, leaving the Jenneral to win the decider, as usual keeping things nice and interesting

Excellent performance from home team captain in the fourth against woeful opponent, leaving the Jenneral to win the decider, as usual keeping things nice and interesting Excellent night on a strange day, having been out all day with Rick and Joe following Marks funeral and wake, only to find my father in law died at 5.30pm yesterday evening ( coming on top of my wife`s aunt passing on Monday ), my wonderful wife telling me that the best thing I could do was stay out and play the game in the evening. Thank you for my team in their support for me n the evening and helping me get through it without letting them down. The Hove Park Tavern as Matt has sais were brilliant and all games there were chances for all. Colin opened with a very good and easily the best break of the evening against Matt, and thank you Colin for your kind words. The table was far better than we tended to make it look, and the locals joined in with our banter. Brian was unlucky against me when he spun the one up out just as the bar was due and I gratefully took my chance.
