I think there has to be an argument to be made for Kyle to take on a role within the AEBBA if we are going to push for younger players to get involved. He clearly has an eye for promotion of competitions.
I dare say that without the work he's put in and the enthusiasm he's displayed we would never have seen the under 30's reach such a level of entries.

Congratulations to Paul Sainsbury who beat Jim Greensted in the final of the AEBBA Singles today, Paul also won the high break trophy as well.
In the final Paul lost the toss and was put in. Paul had a run out for 20,030. Jim was off at around k2 but got them back and got another k10 before missing and shaking Paul’s hand. This is Paul’s 4th win in this comp in 4 different decades.
Pete Sainsbury won the over 50’s and the high break beating Tony Martin in the final with a k15 run out.
Jean Brackenridge won the ladies today with Pauline Withey runner up. Pauline also won the ladies high break .
Well done to all the winners

Great and comprehensive report from Curt. A 'supermarket sweep" LOL Well done to all the day's achievers, and especially to BigJimSilverFox, proving himself not out of his depth at this level.

Great day of bar billiards, thank you for Dave Alder as usual for all his hard work, in setting up and organising the event.
Well done to Paul, Jean and Pete on their wins. High standard set all day and good to see Morgan from Cambridge take part and hope this will ignite a spark for more from there to participate.
Tables were all of a high standard and the scores will reflect that, lets hope we can get a few more turn out for the over 60s, the round robin format did give us all at least six frames of billiards, and along with scoring the AEBBA singles when I was available a busy day.
