Full details of the Grand Prix Players were split into 4 groups of 4 with group winners to progress. Group A was Kevin Tunstall's group and was closer than the scores suggest. Richard Wooton should have beaten him but missed whilset 10k up with 10 minutes left of the second leg. KT managed to get over the line by 600 despite rattling the pin on 10k. KT won his other games against Dennis Claydon and Alan Chaloner to progress Group B ended up being a fight between top 2 seeds Keith Sheard against Peter Farrelly. Peter ran out leg 1 for around 15k, but Keith coasted past that to book his place in the semis. Dave Alder beat Sue Atkins for 3rd place Group C was considered the group of death as it was faught between Nigel Senior, Chris Reeves, Leon Beer and Phil Collins. After 2 games it was one win apiece and a scheduling change meant that Nigel and Chris played their last games first. Chris broke off with 7k but Nigel ran the remainder of the clock out for 8.5k and then ran out the 2nd leg for 17k to score as much as possible to add to his aggregate. This left Leon needing to beat Phil with 14k, or Phil to beat Leon with 25k for eithe of them to progress. The first leg ended 6,800 to 6,200 to Leon with Phil's break to come. Phil therefore needed another 19k so went off very quickly in leg 2 probably causing him to miss on 6k when on target to make that score. Leon got the balls back and made 7k before missing giving Phil a chance to win the match and putting Nigel through. However Phil missed a 20 and Leon cleared the balls and made the semis beating Nigel's aggregate by 50,720 to 47,790 Group D Top seed of the group Barry Holt won his first two matches against Dennis Atkins and Jean Over, so needed to beat Steven Sheard to progress. However Barry heavily lost to Steven putting Barry, Steven and Dennis on 2 wins each. Aggregate scores came into play - Steven coming out on top with 44,930. Dennis on 38,920, Barry on 37,150 Semi Finals KT v Steven Sheard, Steven set a target of 17k despite missing once in his break game. KT strolled past with a runout of 19k Keith Sheard v Leon Beer. A scrappy first game saw Leon lead by 2k. Keith made no mistake in leg 2 touching up when he had enough Final KT v Keith Sheard Keith took the break and amassed a 11k lead on a very tricky table. KT went off with 12k in around 14 minutes giving Keith a glimmer of hope, but it wasn't to be and it was Kev's 4th Grand Prix title

Full Over 50s results - Jason Wadsworth won his first ever national title in beating Tony Martin in the final. In the semis Jason beat fellow Redhill player and last years runner up Dave Constable. Tony Martin was going for a unique double as he earlier won the Over 60's but was to lose the final to Jason - which was his 9th match of the day!

Full Over 60's results Tony Martin regained his Over 60's title by beating Dave France. Tony who won this title after a timed break to seperate him and Bill trinder after a tie last year, was again giving the TD a headache by heading towards both the Over 50's and 60's finals. Tony couldn't quite manage the double but convicingly beat Dave France in the final. Dave was also runner up to Derek Payne in 2003 and he has now 3 national runners up medals.
