Not bad, qualified from one competition entered!
Unfortunately no high speed trains that day and Arborfield Club is some way from the nearest station at Wokingham so I'd best say no.

Jean Brackenridge (15) has already confirmed for the Ladies Grand Prix would need to go to first reserve(colin Southouse) to fill vacancy, As Jean has qualified for both now she can choose one event or the other, she is going to let me know. Originally she had only qualified for the Ladies Grand Prix which she accepted at the time but due to drop outs she has moved into the top 16 of the main Grand Prix....

He has no intention to play in the Grand Prix
He will however play in the over 60s

Updated list above.
2 more players required....
Matt is letting me know Tues night
Alan Philips from Jersey is next up, if someone could please give me a number for him. I know it is unlikley he can come over at short notice but I like to ask everyone who has qualified.
There then follows a list of names - it would be helpful if people could either rule themselves out in the event that they could be asked, or if they are willing to play if there are enough dropouts above to put them into the top 16. You can see that some players are tied, In the event that both wish to attend and they are toied for 16th a playoff will be arranged between the two players. Also remember if you are playing in either the under 30s or over 50s you cannot play in the Grand Prix unless you pull out of the other competition.

Well done to Matt Jones on winning his first grand prix. Jim Millward was runner-up so well done to Jim too. It was quite a strange final with Matt black-pegging on 10k, Jim getting the balls back and building a 7k lead with his break to come. Jim missed on his first split in that break and Matt needed no second invitation to take the title. In the semis Matt and Nigel Senior had a great match with Nigel running the table out for 20k and Matt returning the favour with 21k and taking the high break award. In the other semi Jim ran the table out for 17k, his opponent Curt Driver was going very well on 11k when ending up at the back of the table and pegging his break. Thank you to everyone involved in running the day, Dave Alder and his daughter (Kayleigh?) for running the admin desk so well, the club for looking after us and providing excellent food. Also, of course, to those that set-up the (quality) tables very early on Sunday.....Dave, Stephen Coleman, Martin Cole, Colin Southouse (chief pen buyer....and late getter of waistcoat) and Bob Hall, who also did his usual vast amount of scoring (whilst some, as always, didn't), thanks to you all and if I have missed anyone thanks to you as well!

Congratulations to Matt Jones on his Grand Prix win yesterday, also to Jean Brackenridge (Ladies Grand Prix), Barry Radford (Over 60's) and Daniel Wheal (Under 30's) for their wins. Excellent day of bar billiards with some very good games in all of the competitions, a big thank you to Dave Alder for running the day and the team of youngsters who helped set up some very good tables.

Congratulations to matt on winning the grandprix after managing to get through his group by 590 points over kt.
Also well done to jean on winning the ladies grand prix consistent as ever
It was nice to see so many youngsters arriving to help sort the tables me and dave had managed to get the tables in and il put my hands up the full setting up of playing tables was martin cole stephen coleman and dave alder and they had big scores on them.
Kyle as always helpful at start and finish and was nice to see dave alder be able to breath a little, as they say many hands make light work. And even though i wasnt playing in any comps it was nice to be able to watch and score a few games watching how the professionals play
