These are the AEBBA tournament dates for 2018
16 Sept - County Champs Div 1 - Arborfield Reading 23 Sept - County Champs Div 2 - Arborfield Reading 7 Oct - Alternative Rules - Totteridge 14 Oct - AE Team, Special Ladies, AE Mixed Pairs - Arborfield Reading 18 Nov - AE Individuals/AE Ladies/ Over 50s/Over 60s - Totteridge (Provisional Dave checking if he can book the club) 25 Nov - Grand Prix/ Ladies Grand Prix/ Under 30s - Arborfield Reading
There are some changes from last year
- Mixed Pairs added to Special Ladies/AE team weekend. Hopefully will encourage more ladies to play as they can also entered the mixed pairs now if they find a partner. As there are now 3 tournaments, entries to all 3 need to be notified to AE Tournament Director 1 week prior to date of tournament, Draw will be then done after close off not on the day of event so tables can be fairly allocated. So if you enter please dont drop out just before the event as it is it will be played in groups etc. For ladies who enter, they can enter all 3 events BUT depending on final entries they may be allowed only enter 2 of the 3 comps (they should specify their preference). There will be an understanding that they may have to be play the same table in the later stages but this will be done as fairly as possible.
- Over 50s and 60s. This will be played together this year. Players can play in both.
11.30 start to All England Events. 11am start to both the county days. Depending on entries it may be decided that tournaments will start earlier that 11.30 if necessary.
