Albion C 2-3 Pocket Rocket A Jean 750 - 5330 Mark** - plenty of thrills, spills and breaks in the first leg, neither player getting to grips with the table and pegs getting in the way quite often. Mark happy to fall over the line **Nigel 9200 - 680 Ian - Nige excellent opening break of 9140 gave Ian no chance, Nige lost another break later on Tupps 2780 - 8630 Geoff** - A 3k opener from Geoff, Chris got the balls straight back but missed early, another 5k from Geoff sealed the leg **Matt 12,980 - 630 Bob - An opening 9380 break gave Bob no chance, he was happy playing the fruit machine instead **Michelle 880 - 1410 Martin** - a never to be forgotten decider Michelle made 400 with her opener, Martin's responded with 200 Michelle was going well on her second break on about 2.5k when she pegged, another break saw her peg another 1k, more than enough to win but, sadly not the Chellster's night Martin was struggling but he was just happy to keep what he scored and that saw his team home Sublime and ridiculous definitely to the fore tonight. As always our opponents were excellent company, good luck to them in the semi-finals. There was a lot of bar billiards chat with plenty of head shaking regarding some of the recent happenings in the bar billiards world. Thanks to the Alex for the excellent food

Looks to me that 2 of the above matches weren't played according to the Chairman's Cup rules. The Away drawn team should have the break in games 1 and 3, with the Home drawn team the break in games 2 and 4. Assuming the results above are entered correctly, the matches between the Smugglers B and Tarring Club, and Pocket Rocket A and Albion C both contravened those rules. A toss of the coin to decide whether to be deemed the Home or Away team only applies to the final. I assume these matches will have to be replayed (he said tongue in cheek).

You are absolutely correct Neil, we knew the rules, discussed them and then still played it wrong! I have absolutely no idea why we ended up playing the wrong way round....we look forward to the replay (he said tongue in cheek)

Jeez, what is the matter with you lot? How long have you all been playing in the Chairmans Cup? Looks like I'll have to print the rules alongside the draws next time๐๐ Every captain had a set of rules at the start of the season. And, there should be a set of rules pinnned up in every pub/club.
