if you have a problem with the chosen venue please contact me to discuss, I have tried to be fair for travelling for both players, it is awkward with players playing multiple leagues so I have used tables within leagues where both players play if I cannot reasonable find a neutral table in a league where neither player plays.

Surely the Henty is Martin Cole's home table in Worthing League?
Is the Pocket Rocket B the old Albion A table?

Pocket Rocket B is the other table, so as you turn into the club it is on your right
And thank you I forgot Martin played Worthing there so will adjust to the Marquis of Granby.

Kay and Martin beat Jean and shocking "Silent" 2-0 tonight. Martin was on top form. It was played at the Tarring Club (sorry TJ I forgot to check with you first)as I had played at the Marquis earlier in the evening Scores 10,500 - 750 9,500 - 3,750 Thanks to Big Al for scoring and good luck to Kay and Martin in their next match when I (secretly) hope they get battered cheers

Phil and I beat Nigel and Chelle 2-1 tonight at the Pocket Rocket.
Magnificent play out by Phil in the last game, setting Nigel a big target on a fairly tricky top.
Scores as follows:
Phil/Ros Nigel/Chelle 6840 .... 3830 2920 ... 10310 14220 .... 9460
Quick drop pockets on the table - surely not legal under AEBBA rules?

Unfortunately due to my March being totally manic I have to give our game to Colin and Janet, sorry to all involved but need to give players time to arrange the semis and final.
I have put both at the Laughing Fish so if everyone wishes to you can play the semis and final on the same night. Tried to use a venue that shared out the travelling and where players do not normally play, please say if a problem. I am if available happy to come along on the night and do the scoring.

Just boosting this any sign of any arrangements for these to be played as we have to think of trophies being delivered and also ranking points are involved.

Month late for semi finals none of which seemed to have been played and only 2 days left for the final to be played.
Suggest a date of 30th April for the completion of this competition or we cancel it for this year

I can't see a date before 30th April, except Friday and Saturdays, which probably wouldn't be very practical at the Laughing Fish with people going past the table to the toilets and the outside area.
However, I could play on Tuesday 1st May, if that were allowed? How does that suit everyone else?

Martin and Kay ok, so now only Colin and Janet to agree.
Suggest 7.30 start with Kev and Sandra v Phil and Ros, followed by Colin and Janet v Martin and Kay.
Final to follow last.
Will let the Fish know once Colin and Janet confirm and ask Henry to do the table.
Thank you all for now sorting this quickly, shame to lose any competition.

Colin now confirmed for the 1st of May, so will let the venue know, please all try to be there for 7.30pm and then if games only go two frames the evening can flow, any support and scorers will be appreciated, I unfortunately may be playing a re-arranged league game that night, but if not will be there.

Congratulations to Sandra and Kevin who won the Sussex Mixed Doubles at the Laughing Fish tonight. Kay and Martin were runners-up, well done to them too.
I won't put the individual scores as they were a little on the low side due to a (very) slow table.
Semis Sandra and Kevin beat Ros and Phil 2-0 Kay and Martin beat Janet and Colin 2-1
Final Sandra and Kevin beat Kay and Martin 2-1
Thanks to Tony for running the competition and to everyone who took part. A tough competition to get organised and running because of the travel distances for all the players.
Tonight my thanks to everyone who stayed and helped score, was a very friendly evening with plenty of laughs
