Hassocks B 2-3 Hassocks A
Jenny 3020-5670 Jock Barry 12140-310 Boball Dilly 6360-3640 Lorraine Chris 1090-5420 Peter Dom 770-7800 Del
Jenny took the lead against the break but a near 5k mid game break won it for Jock. Two 6k breaks from Barry took the second. Dilly gained an advantage. Lorraine caught up but Dilly finished the job. Peter took several goes to finish the Hassocks landlord, who was distracted watching his beloved Man Utd lose. Del made short work of Dom in the last , who's biggest contribution was preparing the food..
Good times at the Hassocks !!!!!

Zeds 5, Plough 0 (in order played) Graham 6420, *Richard 2130 *Johnny 3800, Chase 2710 Clive 6320, *Dave 4660 (two breaks each) *Jim 6490, Jan 4970 (one break each, Jan received a round of applause) Barry 4640, *Ric 3780 (Ric on second visit needed 840 to win...a great 200 off the back cush was followed by two 100 pots and an in-off 100. With the red gone, the remaining leave proved impossible to score big from yet again. Great effort though) Some great play from both sides but everything going for us tonight. I was doubly lucky in my game: rocked a peg on 3k first visit, and had to retrieve from a nasty leave behind the 30 hole to hold the winning break.

HHUSC B 1, Cock Utd. 4
Darrell 1070, Liz 1610 Chris 1580, Dave 3620 Steve 6610, Huw 1850 Paul 1160, Pete 1180 Ian 2310, Sam 4770
A very useful points haul for the Cocky Ones that should keep us in second place in Div. One. Paul was very unlucky to black-peg his early lead and couldn't quite drag it back, then Pete bafflingly went for the 200 with the last ball even though he was 220 in front! Luckily he missed and Paul showed him how to do it.
A very enjoyable evening with the Bs and some lovely bangers and chips.
