Hi All, As many of you will know I have been working hard on making one or two changes to the AEBBA website - I am close to go live now and I really hope you will like what you see. There will be a radical change in the look and feel of the site and it is intended to serve as a highly engaging platform for visitors - whether they be players, non-players or potential sponsors. But, like all websites it will rely heavily on high quality images to improve the overall look. I would like you to share your images with me if you are happy for them to be used on the website. In particular I am interested in: - League, County and National competition winners, finalists, presentations and action shots (such as the recent Sussex competition weekends)
- Abstract table, ball and peg images
- Profile pictures - particularly of the England and top 16 players) both men and ladies. No silly expressions but not passport photos either!!
- other Bar Billiards related images that you feel are compelling - be they very old archive pictures or something else
The more the better as that will allow me to select those of the highest quality and that present well on the screen. I should also add that this request is not a one time thing - the website will need to remain highly current and so please continue to take and send pictures to me so that I can keep it fully up to date. Please send what you have to: secretary@aebba.co.uk If you have any questions or concerns please do let me know and I will do my best to answer them. Very best wishes, Lorin

Very best wishes, Lorin Hi there, Just wanted to bump this one up in everyone's consciousness again. In order for our site to be attractive and engaging we absolutely need more high quality images. It becomes very obvious very quickly when we have a lack of decent shots on the web pages. Please, please, please - if you have a nice camera (or even a very high quality smartphone) and access to a table - why not spend your Sunday morning taking some interesting shots of playing Bar Billiards. I'd like some abstract shots and especially some action shots (i.e. balls hitting balls or balls hitting pins or front on perspective shots of players hitting the ball from the 'D'.) Be assured, I promise I will appreciate every one you send through to me and will do all in my power to ensure you win an AEBBA Competition as a result*. The site is all but done - just some final testing on how responsive the site is for mobiles and tablets etc. For the who love a stat (Tommo ) - everything that was there still is there in exactly the same place and in the same format. Changes only relate to the home page, competition and event management, player profiling, partnering (or sponsorship to you and me!) and maybe one or two other niceties. Please help by sending images to: secretary@aebba.co.uk The sooner the better. Many thanks and best wishes, Lorin *Promises made within 30 minutes of midnight cannot be held and are, in fact, worthless!

We could take some pictures tonight as the white horse marathons are playing the white horse kitcats in a local derby, the match has been moved forward from Thursday to accommodate the crowds,
Erm,
well some of the kitcats team go away on holiday Thursday so they would of struggled to get a full team. There is a good chance of plenty of blacks going over, only trouble is we play four pin and use mushrooms and I'm not sure mushrooms would fit into your site

The important thing is trying to get high quality clear images, that’s what works best on the screen. Plus, we need many more 4-pin shots. Many thanks again. Lorin

HI all,
Just bumping this one to the front of people's minds again. We really need a regular supply of images from tournaments and events (both local, regional and national) to keep the site refreshed.
Please send through anything you have.
Best wishes,
Lorin
