Timer Setting................How long ?

When i refurbish  a table i set the timer to 15 to 17 minutes .

Most timers British or French that i have set struggle to maintain a consistent time over 18 mins probably why i have come across some with extra springs added !

i am sure that i have read somewhere  that the tables clocks were originally meant to be set between 12 and 15 minutes ?

What are your ideas on this ?

What are the league rules on this ?

Are all leagues the same ?

Is the 3 pin table set to the same length of time as the 4 pin table ?

I believe aebba rules state a timer should run between 15 minutes and 20 minutes most all england tables run 17-18 mins and alot of league venues down south between 17:30 and 19:30minutes
