Jersey won convincingly 5-1 in the single break matches. Well done Jersey. Trevor Gallienne was the only Guernsey winner.
Trevor went on to win the Channel Islands singles crown beating Jersey champion Graham Bisson.

Thanks Norman. International result apart, a great year then for Trevor personally. About the only thing he didn't win was the highest ladies break in the Guernsey Open !

Had he worn a skirt he probably would have got that to Norman.
A quality player ... a real genuine person ...
It was great in Guernsey and we have booked already for next year.
The RAFA club is wow.. and we have Bowls to look forward to in the day.
Fabulous weekend xxx

Fabulous weekend xxx The perfectly decent table in the club has now been excluded from the G.B.B.A. league circuit. A Pre-decided vote at the A.G.M. by the masses without any thought of the possible fallout, rhetoric or likely consequences that followed. Very much a case of monkey say, monkey do. The vote has led to the break up of the team and another venue lost. We had more freedom when the Germans were here ! I have been playing league Bar Billiards for over 40 years and landlords and individuals have always owned their own tables, which have always been acceptable and admitted into the league. I stand by what i said at the A.G.M. That this proposed rule change was more about politics rather than the future preservation of the Guernsey league. A realistically proportionate financial contribution offer re takings on the table in question for league matches was made, but this compromise was rejected.

Hi Chris,
The table is still in the RAF Club. I had a meeting with Keith, the club secretary, yesterday and he will open the club as per this year to barbilliards players who want a practice before the Gsy Open next May. One thing we are trialing is instead of a one pound game lasting 16 minutes the clock is set to 50 pence for an eight minute game. See you in November. Bob
