I have recurring trouble with the coin mechanism on our league table in Nottingham. The bar never raises when I put the coin in, however it seems to be only me that has trouble with it. It's an electronic mechanism, is there a knack to it or something I could be doing wrong, as I'm sure I do it exactly the same as everyone else.

Try using real money, those chocolate coins don't work too well

Would it help if I put them in the fridge first to harden?

Electronic makes it sound like a supreme table so as long as you put the coin in the right slot and push it all the way in I cant see what can go wrong, maybe you push it too hard, too soft, too slow or too quick. If it happened to everyone id say change the battery but it maybe easier if you just make sure you never get the first break and let your opponent put the money in

The table is rented from Jacques if that helps. I don't think I'm doing anything differently to anyone else, and I've never had trouble with electronic mechanisms before.
