Have managed to do a big update to aebba website. Each national tournament now has a front page listing winners, high break etc. So if you go to a tournament, click on the tournament rather than the drop down for the years of each tournament you will find this page. Any feedback would be appreciated, especially with missing info. Also pics of current winners and the trophy itself would be appreciated. I did notice some pics had gone funny due to cropping them I think, but I will fix those later. An example is for the upcoming kent classic via the link below aebba.co.uk/kent-classic

Nigel's been busy again !
Have been checking the site on a routine basis (to enhance my own local reports) and full transcripts of the following 2018 competitions have appeared in the last few days:
- Off-the-Spot Open
- All-England Singles
- Alt Rules (Triangles)
- Over 50s
- Over 60s
- Under 30s
- Mixed Pairs
- National Teams
- Special Ladies Open
Only World Champs, Grand Prix and County Champs to go for the full set.
These represent many hours of preparation, I hope that such dedication is appreciated by others as well as by myself !

Nigel has put on the end of 2018 rankings. Website currently closed for maintenance, but could be back 9pm tonight if the countdown clock is to be believed.

Countdown clock has gone back several times over the last few days, gone back twice today.
Better right than rushed.

It's back !!!!!!
Oh ye of little faith.
Still some results to go on, but at least now we have the following:
- Minutes of 2018 AGM
- Updated set of Rules
- Latest Rankings as of Dec 2018
Good work by the AEBBA team, and worth waiting for.

From the AGM Minutes, I note the appointments of both Chrissie Newson and Chris Saville as Life Vice-Presidents of the AEBBA. Congratulations to both of them.

...and also to Charlie Gildersleve for his 49 years of service as Wycombe Secretary and to AEBBA.

It doesn't look very clear to me either Tony. It's in the same section as 'Honorary Vice Presidency' - it was proposed that Charlie should also become an HVP and it was unanimously voted that he should, but it is not very clear in the minutes that he has been awarded this honour.
Lorin - can you please confirm?
Thanks Dawn

Serveral updates being applied to the website including a PHP version upgrade. This means a check of the impact of this change on each element and plugin individually. Should be back up and running tomorrow.

We are trying to sort out travel arrangements Thanks Dave

Hi,
The updates have not gone as well as I’d hoped and there is an incompatibility between the new underlying software - which is essential to underpin the security of the site - and the presentation theme, which whist desirable is not essential. As such - when the site is live again, it will be with an entirely new design.
Please accept my apologies for for this inconvenience.
As for the AEBBA 4-Pin and the Northants Open, as previously advertised and as per last year, the draws will be shown live on the evening of Sunday 5th May. I anticipate that the draws will commence from about 8:30pm.
Thanks.

To continue the theme I have asked for an extension! Haha!!
Apologies for the ongoing inconvenience and the uncertainty that this is causing to the Bar Billiards economy but be assured I am now engaging with the leader of the National Pool Association in a bid to come up with an agreeable plan!!
Nope - it’ll be done soon. Please get in touch directly if you have any queries but you won’t miss fixtures, draws or entry forms in the meantime I promise.
Thanks

Pretty sure those behind the scenes are working hard to get the website back up and running but being busy people think it is taking a little more time than originally thought.

I am sure too that they are totally … but it would be good to have feedback on here as to what is happening with a timescale !!
If this site was down for maintenance, what would happen then with both sites down ?
I appreciate the total hard work, I also appreciate contact with a written explanation.
