A quick intro. Im Matt aka Senie from Southwater Sports Club in the Horsham league. Im not actually captain, but Im the one with the easiest job which means I sit at a PC and do nothing! We are the new team getting to grips with everything, slowly buy surely.
We have a postponed match from a few weeks back and have only recently discovered this needs to be replayed, rather than forfeited. This has led me to believe we dont know the more common guidelines/rules/etiquette.
Are there any rules that we use in the league or is there anything that we should adhere to that you would expect all teams to do?
Matt

Hi Matt, It's always good to hear of new teams joining the league, especially with youngsters such as yourself. And welcome to the Forum, with access to a PC you will soon be better versed with the happenings of Bar Billiards all over the country than most people in Horsham.
As regards a set of rules, which you should obviously all acquaint yourselves with, these can be provided by the Horsham League's Secretary Ian Giffen, who is a regular contributer to this Forum.
I expect he'll be logging on within the next 24 hours, especially as Tuesday night is league night.
Good luck if you have a game tonight. ;)

Hi Matt. First of all Welcome to the Horsham board & thanks for the post.
Yes any postponed matches should be rearranged with the other Captain which is Martin Fairs his contact number & the number for Roffey club are on the fixture list. We expect any first half matches to be played by the end of the first half season. & if a match is postponed in the second half it must be played before the end of the season. We don't like to have a forfeit as the league tables are usually very close & it's not really fair just to give away 5 points. Your Captain would have been sent a full set of rules with the fixture list but if you require a set for yourself I can email you one.
Please always ask if you have a question & I or Maggie Worsell who you met the other week will be only too glad to help. WE don't actually get to play each other until the 8th Jan I'm from the Dun Horse Team , alternatively My phone number is also on the fixture list. Thanks. Ian.

Thanks Tommo for replying at first to Matt's post. I only had around 1& 1/2 hours home from work before going back out again so had limited time in front of PC. Ian.
