Thank you Nigel
Please remember that we are at a new venue this year - Totteridge Community Centre, Totteridge Drive, HIGH WYCOMBE, HP13 6UG.
There is a carpark onsite, but if it is full there is parking down East Drive which is 30 seconds away.
See you Sunday :)

What can I say..
Tables superbly set up scores on the day showed that with many tables scoring 10k plus to 24k+. I assume that was Ernie, Doug, Matt and the team.
The food was absolutely superb, so lovely to have a Breakfast and then a Lunch menu - Chicken roast dinner was lovely thank you all that cooked at the Totteridge Club. You worked really hard all day XXX
The Bar Staff and those helping did a fabulous job, the locals were so friendly and helpful.
Dawn and Ernie as usual ensured a total smooth run to the day. Cliff Slade ensured fabulous cakes !!! Sue Haberman a great Raffle with Jeff.
Well done Mark Trafford re the main and Mark Brewster re the Plate.
Stars of the day for me Joe Oakley who played out of his skin to be RU in the main. Dawn Jordan who went on to win many rounds in the main and Sue Haberman who won many rounds in the plate.
The club was the best setting ever for the Bucks yet. I do hope it is next years venue. ( It did make me giggle that a trip was arranged to Southend on Sea for the locals … but to be honest this was so thoughtful I hope they truly enjoyed it.)
Unlucky Joe (main) and Matt Knight (plate) but Matt Knight can I just say a huge, huge thank you as to how many games you scored as well as playing I think you are a total star as you play to win and give your time ( yes I have a love/hate relationship with you) .. shame as a few other players who are at the top as you are, rarely bother to score yet expect their games scored.
Glad Curt who constantly scored games got his fabulous Cliff Slade cake he totally deserved it...
See you all next year x

Matt K I hope you can update this far better than me ... I'll do my best Chrissie but no guarantee. No "hate" from me just admiration for the brilliant job you and Dawn do on the admin desk, keeping things running so smoothly despite my attempts to wind you up It was a fantastic day of bar billiards with Joe definitely the star of the day despite losing (no disgrace) in his first open final to Mark Trafford. Hopefully it will be the first of many Mark made no mistake when given the chance in the final and continued his excellent run of form. Well done to him, with Keith unable to attend it opened the way a little and obviously made his run a bit easier. Mark had beaten a back to form Martin Smith in his semi-final, in a very high scoring match with both players playing extremely well. Before that Traff had beaten Steven Sheard in the quarter-finals. Having defeated Bob Osborne in his quarter-final, Joe was to meet Nigel Senior in the semi-final and after missing early, settled down to lead by 14k with Nigel's break to come. Nige was unable to get the job done, thus giving Joe his first win over Nigel, another great win for him. The other quarter-finalists were (also back to form) Stuart Carruthers and John Slee, well done to all the quarter-finalist on playing well on the day. In the plate Mark Brewster won the final against Matthew Knight in a high-scoring match on the very good table 1. Set a target of 15.5k by me the Rooster made no mistake with a very good break (enjoying an excursion or two) for a deserved win. Mark had beaten Colin Southouse in the semi-finals and "Silent" beat Kyle Ingram, who was more than a little unfortunate to lose as he was going well but left a ball right behind the 10 hole that he missed by the narrowest of margins to lose his break. Jean took the ladies high break (in excess of 6k) and Nigel the high break (in excess of 24.5k) Thank you to the Totteridge Club for hosting us, an excellent venue, I heard no complaints from anyone and they looked after us very well. It was nice that a venue actually seemed to want us there and went out of their way to look after everyone. The food was excellent too! Thanks to all those involved in setting up and taking down the tables, they were all of a very high standard. Scorers seemed easier to come by with the Hastings contingent to the fore, backed up by TJ and Mark James as always Hopefully everyone will be back next year at the same venue, it was a great day, thanks to everyone who made it happen

Hey Matt don't ruin my reputation … there needs to be a hard edge here as far as my personality goes... anyone would think I was soft... thank you for your superb report and yes the number of games scored by Hastings and Mark James/Tony Jenner, many Bucks players was astounding x I am glad you said that

And so Bucks Open No 19 has come to an end. Thank you to everyone who came, we hope you all enjoyed it.
We would like to thank all the staff at the Totteridge Community Centre for all your hard work - you did us proud. We would like any feedback you may have, good or bad, but hopefully you will all agree that the whole day was a complete success. We will definitely be holding next years open there.
Well done to Mark Trafford for winning his first ever Bucks Open, Joe Oakley for getting to his first ever final (you both played so well all day) and to Nigel Senior and Martin Smith the losing semi-finalists . Also congratulations to Mark Brewster on winning the plate and to Matthew Knight the losing finalist. The highest men’s break of 24,760 was won by Nigel (I think he quite liked my home table), and the ladies break of 6,650 was won by Jean.
Lastly, thank you to everyone from Wycombe who helped unload/load the tables, having them for the weekend certainly helped us and the performance of the tables, Ernie & Matt for setting them up, Dave for the usual delivery/collection, Doug for all your help, the table sponsors, Sue & Jeff for selling raffle tickets, all the people who donated prizes (especially Syl Murphy who without getting some brilliant prizes for us we would definitely not make so much on the raffle), Pauline for folding the tickets as usual, Nigel for doing the format again and again, Jean for your sheets which are so much easier, the people who scored through the day and helped us take the tables down on Sunday evening and lastly to Chris, all of us in Wycombe thank you so much for what you do every year, I look forward to spending the day together again next year (please).
PLEASE NOTE THAT NEXT YEARS OPEN WILL BE BACK TO THE 1ST SUNDAY OF AUGUST - THE 4TH.
See you all soon Dawn

yes, must say the venue is perfect with plenty of room, the staff were excellent, as was the food, i thought i'd better have 2 dinners as they were so good, i started playing quite well once i was full.
Nice to see some new names mentioned this time, met some nice local lads as well. Can't see a negative here other than as mentioned its the same people that do most of the scoring which doesn't leave much time for some to check out the tables they will be playing on while others use this as an excuse not to score.
Anyway, well done to all who had an input in sundays event

I am extreamely happy to have won the Bucks Open on Sunday. I thought i played quite well all day and didn't miss an awful lot. The comments about the locals are certainly worthy as there was one local who watched my last couple of games and shook my hand after the final. He pulled up a chair to the side of the table to watch the final! My thanks go out to the people who helped set the tables up as they were all certainly very playable and big scores being had on all of them. The club certainly looked after us and were so helpful all day. My last thanks go to Dawn & Chrissie on running the day, it all ran smoothly. My special thanks go to Dawn for changing the date, can we have it on the same weekend every year
