Current position now
9 teams confirmed. So the following 5 teams are now invited or yet to confirm (kent B have already declined). I am assuming no other A teams other than Suffolk and Nottinghamshire as no other interest has been shown.
Suffolk - need to confirm by 31/8 if playing
Notts - need to confirm by 31/8 if playing
Ladies Select - will speak to Dawn if she can field a side of 7 ladies
Sussex B - confirmed and will pay in Div 1
Kent B - declined invite
Oxon B - confirmed and will play in Div 2.
So now that makes 11 teams confirmed and 3 places to fill
Div 1
Kent
Sussex A
Oxon A
Berks A
Northants
Sussex B
Div 2
Surrey
Bucks
Oxon B
Oxon Ladies
Sussex Ladies
With Hants pulling out we have only 6 teams in div 1, if we do get to the full 14 teams, Surrey will have to be reinstated into Division 1, but I think getting the extra 3 sides is going to be a struggle.
If Suffolk and Notts can confirm if they know either way whether a team is being entered ASAP that will help as I can then invite other B teams to see if there is interest there.

I believe teams are falling - might be good to look at why and the divisions and the construction again.

Well done to Sussex B on winning the County Champs today a great team effort, and one proud non playing captain, team spirit was great all day and must say that the spirit between the A and B team was important in the Bs getting over the line. The B team were level on points with Oxford A but won on countback as we had won 4 series of matches compared to Oxfords 3.
Thank you to Lauren for running the day, and to those who helped set up the tables and then took them all down.

Many congratulations to Sussex B on their exhilerating win yesterday. Sussex A had a poor day by their standards but we managed to win some important legs that helped the 'B's. Thanks to Lorin & Steven for a well run day

Great performance by everyone in the Sussex B team, well done to TJ for keeping them going. Proud to see the two youngest players winning 7 out of 10 legs, a great achievement. Jack and Mike both winning 4 legs, but what a leg from Chris Cox (on debut) to win the Cup going off with enough first break against the World Champ, well done mate (Summer must be over)  As Kev says not the best performance from the A team, but a strong showing v Kent in our last match helped the B team out and meant we were only 2 points behind in the end. (A teams stats on the Sussex Thread) Thanks to Lorin (who enjoyed using his microphone)  for running the day and to the mainly Northants guys who took down the tables with help from (black peg) Stu M thrown in  Final Standings:- Sussex B 20 points (4 wins) Oxford A 20 points (3 wins) Kent 19 (massive aggregate) Northants A 19 (smaller aggregate) Sussex A 18 Berks A 9 |

I would also like to say well done to berkshire who struggled to raise a team but never gave up and kept on trying throughout the day also excellent food and a great venue and cant wait for next year if selected
