Hi All,
We are about to enter the busiest part of the year for AEBBA Events and, as many of you will know, my top priority has been to focus attention on how we can make our competitions better - the very best that they can be. This is not to say that they are broken - far from it - but I believe that all things can be improved upon and this is my target.
The feedback we received from those who entered the AEBBA 4-Pin event in May was really heartening and illustrated that we are moving in the right direction. We offered excellent value for player's entry fees and, thanks to a significant amount of sponsorship, were able to offer some tremendous rewards to those successful players.
For the forthcoming events we shall be pushing forward with efforts to make our events more compelling, more rewarding with competitive prize money and with a strong identity in order to ensure that players enjoy an experience that better reflects playing at an elite level. As such you will start notice some changes.
So that we can ensure the greatest reward for players we need to generate more revenue. This will come, in part, from entry fees and having higher numbers of competition entrants. More players will undoubtedly mean higher calibre events. Another crucial element will be sponsorship. This will come from many avenues:
There are numerous sponsorship options available for the autumn series of events and I'd like you all to consider how you may be able to contribute. You may, for example, ask your league to sponsor a table at each event. You may ask your company to discuss the options for sponsoring an event. You will see from the competition entry forms that we are making progress in this direction but there are many more sponsors required.
So, from as little as £10 you, your league, your county or your company can get involved and be part of something important - the progression and safeguarding of something that we are all passionate about.
At each event we are seeking an Event Sponsor and at least eight table sponsors - and you get to choose the table (it's important for those who wish to be aligned with excellence, high scoring and big breaks). We'll be recording scores against each competition table so that we can keep an ongoing record of the 'best performing tables'!!
Please contact me, either through PM, email at secretary@aebba.co.uk or via the AEBBA website if you'd like to discuss how you can get involved.
Many thanks and best wishes,
Lorin

More players will undoubtedly mean higher calibre events. Another crucial element will be sponsorship. This will come from many avenues:
- Individuals who wish to support our efforts, our game, and 'put something back' in order to underpin our sustainability
- Leagues & County Associations who value the events as a way of offering more to their elite players who represent their leagues and counties with pride, skill and endeavour.
- Companies and Brands who recognise that we have a far reaching network within the Bar Billiards community and that has value. There are many organisations for whom partnering on our events may be an attractive way to underpin their support and resonance for traditional pursuits, community engagement and strong values of sportsmanship and skill.
