Hi All,
Following some useful feedback I am going to very shortly overhaul the website functionality again. As such, for the remaining events this year it would perhaps be wise to create entry lists on the Proboards Forum.
Please add your names below for this event and I will create further such threads for the other events shortly.
To clarify, the venue for this event is Totteridge Community Centre.
Many thanks,
Lorin

I was going to enter the over 50's this year but I got home from Jersey to find out that one of my Labradors is pregnant! !!! So I could be inundated with puppys! !
Anybody fancy a Labrador puppy?

I think we will go for an 11am start.
I am going to do the draw so if everyone is there by 10.45 should be ready to kick off at 11am.
I have made the entries above the final entries as will be doing the draw today so format can be done.
Jean & Pauline I have put you in the over 50s, all other All England players I have put in where they requested, going to give it a go hopefully it will work out ok :)

Hi everyone
Thanks for all the entries, massively up on last year.....so that has given me the nice problem of doing the format.....
I have allowed players to play in two competitions. Jean and Pauline (as well as Dawn and Denise) you will play in the over 50s as well as the singles. Tony C and Tony W wil play in the over 60s.
The over 50s format is 8 groups of 3, winners to go through to quarter finals
The over 60s format is a straight knock out. I know 2 players are playing over 60s only so may only get one game. This is unfortunate but I am afraid not a lot can be done as there is only so much time in the day - so I hope you make good progress in that competition :)
As ever when we combine these two events we could run into the problem that someone gets to both finals of the over 50s and 60s. With the schedule having the semis and final being played at the same time, potentially we may have 2 extra series at the end of the day. I can't really see a way around that so please be aware that may happen if you are in both comps.
With that in mind and the draw already being done, the first series is over 50s only, if those players can try to be there by 10.30 and be ready to play/ score Dave can start the day off promptly and this will save some time later in the day, which I am sure will be appreciated if the scenario above does happen.
Also with that in mind it speeds the day up if scorers make themselves available. There are 37 players registered to play tomorrow meaning 21 people are available to score 8 games each series. Players should not just score within their own competitions - the ladies for instance will always have 2 matches being played so only 1 player left to score. So please help out and score :)
And also please understand that late over 50s/ 60s games may take place on tables already played, Dave will allocate the tables as fairly as possible.
Good luck to everyone involved in the competitions tomorrow
