Hi all,
I will shortly be posting full details for the AGM but I’d also like to invite proposals for discussion at the meeting.
A reminder for any proposals for AEBBA rule changes that, under the currently published rule book, proposals must be with the AEBBA secretary by Sunday 25th November.
No proposals for rule changes can be considered at the meeting if they are not submitted by that date.
Many thanks,
Lorin

Where and at what time is the AGM to be held please?

Presumably it will be on 16th Dec if the 21-day submission period is to be adhered to. This according to AEBBA Secretary's opening post on this thread.
If instead 9th Dec (as per Forum Calendar) then already too late for proposals as the deadline would have been 18th Nov. Maybe some were put forward at Totteridge ?

Best let Lorin comment on that but, if a mistake has been made, then it will do no harm to accept proposals up until this weekend as that was the published closing date.

Hi All,
Apologies for the delay in clarifying this - there had been a mix up regarding venue.
I can now confirm that the AGM will be held at 2pm on Sunday 16th December at Totteridge Community Centre, High Wycombe.
The venue - which is proving to be an invaluable partner to the AEBBA will also provide the opportunity of a Christmas meal for the attendees before the meeting - 12:30 serving.
The options are as follows:
3 courses for £11.99 or 2 courses for £10.99
Starters:
Soup of the Day or Prawn Cocktail
Mains:
Salmon with Vegetables Turkey and Christmas trimmings
Dessert:
Christmas Pudding Trifle Cheese & Biscuits
Please let me know if you intend to have a meal and your selections so that I can provide numbers to the chef. You will not be able to have lunch without prior notice.
Regarding the AGM - given the later date I will now be able to accept proposals until Wednesday 5th December - please note that they may be submitted on this forum or to me directly only. They must have both a names proposer and a named seconder.
In addition - all committee roles shall be subject to an election - if you would like to stand for election to the AEBBA you are very welcome to do so. Please state your name, the role for which you wish to stand and also you must provide a seconder. Again - you are able to submit these applications to me via this forum or directly. The deadline for election applications shall also be 5th December.
For those unable to attend the AGM - all AGM documents will be available from the AEBBA website at least 48hrs before the meeting.
Any questions - do get in touch.
Lorin

This date now clashes with a Sunday set aside for Sussex home and away inter-league games, so may mean some from Sussex may not attend although as 2pm start it may be feasible.

Dear All
I will not be at the AGM and have given notice re resignation to the AEBBA Committtee.
I will complete Bournemouth.
This allows for anyone else to apply for this role via Lorin.
Thanks Chris

Sad news for us all. Chrissie took over where I left off and has done a marvellous job on keeping the AEBBA accounts straight and running Bournemouth, neither of which has been achieved without flack. I also know Chrissie has kept the jobs going when personal circumstances were far from easy. I would like to nominate Chrissie to be elected as a Life Vice President of AEBBA at the AGM, there does not need to be a seconder for the nomination (LVP nomination does not need 21 days notice either). Thank you Chrissie!

That is so truly kind of Chris but he is the one that got the AEBBA back on track and should himself have a Life Presidency given his total support to the AEBBA and me .. I know how much he does always and will do because he totally supports the game always has done and will do. xxx

Hi Lorin
The club have messaged me asking can you call them regarding numbers for dinner on Sunday as they haven't heard anything. Perhaps someone can start a list if they are eating?
Thanks Dawn

Dear All
I may be bad as my sight is at present poor and Chris currently drives me .. but we are not good in ensuring whom wants a Xmas meal at the club !!!!
This feels very poorly responded to re the lunch prior to the AGM with less than a week to go.

I note that, as of this morning, a posh looking agenda has appeared on the AEBBA site.

Can someone let me know if the affiliation fee has stayed the same or if not how much it now is Also if the table hire cost has stayed the same I have seen and spoken to 3 people who were at the AGM and none of them could give me an answer
I tried to give a cheque to Gerry last week as I believe he is the new treasurer although he said Chrissie was carrying on until Bournemouth. I will be seeing Chrissie at the weekend so would like to pay the affiliation fees and the table charges for the weekend

Hi Jean
I said I would continue to do Bournemouth for this year. I also said I would act as the person to verify the accounts in future by remaining on the accounts.
I will take any cheques re table hire and bank.
I have no contact for Gerry, so cannot say whom is doing what at present,
I did not say I would continue the accounts until Bournemouth. I will though happily help out. No idea re fees although I have Sudbury paid in.
Thanks Chris

Morning all Are the minutes from the agm available anywhere yet as I would like to have a read of them. Also if the fees have increased to thirty quid then Suffolk owe Chrissie a tenner as we only gave her £20 and I don't wanna get on the wrong side of her
