Cock Utd 5, Hassocks B 0 (played at CKRBL)
A scoreline that rather flatters the Cocky Ones. Barry is doing a terrific job in bringing on a clutch of young, promising players who all had chances to knock the Cocks off their respective perches. I hope they all continue to play and improve because, let's face it, this game will die without new blood coming in.

Any danger of a Team Cup/Plate Semi-Final Draw being published ? (I think the matches are due to be played next week.)

Whatever for ??? I would just like to be in a position to tell the landlady of my local if she has a game next Wednesday or not ??? You could still leave the draw till next Sunday, but nothing to stop you/committee deciding and announcing the four venues in advance.

If there won't be a game there - fine - but would like to know one way or the other a.s.a.p. just to cover all bases.

Pretty sure this will only be decided on who plays who as previous tables being used or is that not common sense come on tommo wait patiently like everyone else

Doesn't give much notice for the venues that are chosen....... Tommo phoning a pub and booking the table takes 30 seconds doesnt really seem that hard or do you use pigeon carrier Booking a table for competitions is not usually a problem as you have a "must be played by date", but as the K.O. Cup is on a designated day this could be awkward. It comes down to two months to do a draw v. two days to book a venue. Hmm?

Mid-Sussex Plate
Hassocks B 4-1 Watermill
A very friendly evening of billiards between two teams of similar ability. A competitive draw in a busy Plough in Plumpton , gave some very close games. Mark and Dom were neck and neck for most of the first before , a fluke in the 200 and some inspired shots put the Watermill 1-0 up. In the second, a opening break of 2000 , including lots of luck, from the B’s captain , was the difference between the 2 players. 1-1. Sabina and Peter went to the wire, with Peter potting the last 2 balls 20/30 , to save a last ball shootout.2-1. Tom went off all guns blazing for a big lead. Tony tried some outrageous shots to close the gap but to no avail.3-1 Paul and Jack fought out the last. A slow and steady 800 sealed Jack the win.4-1.
A different draw , or the luck going the other way, could of led to the result going to the Watermill.
Thanks to Gavin and his team for an evening , which has left this captain and his team very happy !!!

CKRBL 1 HHUSC B 4
A good win in a busy pub with the football on. Best game of the night was between Andy & Steve both scoring well. Paul Moyes Robb got the Legion's point. Roy & Chris played out the 5th. Thanks to the Cock for the usual great hospitality.
