1. Answer what you know first, then leave it a while for others to have a go, and then if nothing else seems to be happening, you can research the remaining answers !
2. When submitting multiple answers, try to put them on one post, adding to it by editing if required - rather than doing multiple posts: This not only makes the quiz easier to score, but is normal Forum etiquette.
After some discussion, initiated by Forum Staff, and carried forward into open debate on the Poll thread which we had recently, it was concluded that brief guidelines should be applied for anyone taking part in quizzes.
I should point out that these are not stringent rules, and non-observance is not punishable in any way. But I would particularly ask everyone to read, study and understand 2) as multiple on-line posts can use up valuable computer space and we don't want to upset our great leader, do we ! So remember, if another idea comes into your head just as you've pressed the enter key - you have a Modify button in the top right-hand corner !
Good luck, and continue to take part in - and hopefully enjoy - the quizzes.

Just a reminder to read and adhere to the above quiz etiquette guide.
Quizzes are for general knowledge and a bit of fun, not a Google contest until people are struggling for answers.
Googling the lot on the first few hours and pasting humungous great answers spoils it for everyone, wastes the time of the quizmaster and is a massive waste of our bandwidth and storage space.

Further points of etiquette: Set above are two golden rules for answering the quizzes. A couple of points now for those who wish to pose the questions - and you are most welcome !
1. Please - if you have started a quiz, be on hand regularly to mark the answers: people who have taken the trouble to reply deserve your attention to their responses.
2. Avoid setting 'trick' questions. Quizzes are supposed to be fun, not an opportunity to put people down or make them look stupid ! It is good practice to award bonus marks for trying.

Please note that I have been obliged to modify my approach to scoring slightly, as a result of an occurence on General Knowledge Quiz CXCVI :
The bad news is that it's finally happened......... I said a long time ago that if 3 people got in straight away and answered all 30 questions in one fell swoop, leaving nothing for anyone else (like a friendly postman, for instance ;D ), then I'd be obliged to cut back on the maximum number of permitted answers.
Now that time has come - and it was just TWO people who managed to answer the lot. This is NOT a war, it's supposed to be a bit of gentle fun - for everyone !
So while I admire and applaud your proficiency, sadly in future, quizzes will only allow a maximum of answers, set by the quizmaster, to be given in any one twenty four hour period..
