Hi all,
It is with great sadness that I have just been advised of the recent passing of Ron.
Ron worked tirelessly for Bar Billiards over many years and, along with Eileen, probably collected more funds into AEBBA coffers than anyone else. We remain immensely grateful to him for his amazing commitment to our game and our organisation and we shall always remember him with great fondness.
I will post funeral details here as soon as I get them.
Rest in peace, Ron.
Thanks and best wishes,
Lorin

Such sad news! A tireless worker for AEBBA and the Reading events used to rely on Ron & Eileen trying to get £3 out of AEBBA players, many begrudgingly! They used to run the raffles as well and as AEBBA Treasurer, I found them meticulous in their accounting for prizes and income. My thoughts are with Eileen and family and friends. Ron in the bar at the Normandie several years ago, very late on an unforgettable evening!

Really sad news from our friends in Reading. Ron was a stalwart of the Reading league as well as an ever-present on AEBBA competition days, and a smiling welcome to the PO club!
My sincere condolences to Eileen, his family and the Reading league - RIP Ron.

An absolutely true stalwart of our game. He worked tirelessly at AEBBA events every Autumn with Eileen.
This is such sad news and both Chris and I send our condolences to Eileen and his family.
