The AEBBA Alternative Rules (this is triangle rules to avoid any confusion) will take place at the Totteridge Club 16th June 2019. It would be good to get an idea of entries so formats can be prepared before the day. I know some entries are with Lorin and I will get them off him and add to the list. If you are interested in playing you can reply to this thread.

Yep - it's the day after Eynsham finals night, so not sure how many of the regulars from that league will make it this year!

If players can try to be there by 11am on sunday, we can then do the draw and get going soon after that.

Congratulations to Mark Trafford who won the AEBBA Triangle version of our alternate rules yesterday, beating the on form Nigel Senior in the final. Not sure how the final went but Mark beat me in a very close semi final. I needed the 200 last ball shot to win but took the black peg out. DOH The other semi finalist was Phil ( I went for that) Osborne. Curt

Did they run a Plate this year ?

You are correct indeed Clive, so happy to have finally won this competition! I thought losing a 1k break with about 30 seconds to go was going to cost me but fortunately it didn't! The plate was won by Joe Elleson, beating Kyle Ingram in the final. Great day as usual with this event with plenty of banter during games with it being "less" serious than a normal open. Only downside was people disappearing as soon as the presentation was done. It was a nice early finish, about 6.30pm and still people could not stop another 10 minutes to help put the tables away.

Thanks to Lorin and Nigel and everyone else involved in organising a very entertaining day.
Well done to Mark for winning the competition! I was very pleased to win my first prize in an AEBBA competition in the plate, very much enjoyed the triangles variation, will definitely be back!
