Tommo brought this on up and its a fair point
Happened to me a few years ago in the intercounties and cost me a leg. A vital match to lose for my county and for me with England selections heavily relying on these games.
The light collapsed on the table and when I was 3k down and 3 minutes to play and breaking. I lost about a minute
The then Tournament Director said 'Tough' and I had to play the remainder of the game with DB holding up the light.
I lost the game by 300 still on the break.
Should such a circumstance happen;
RULE If a delay occurs during a game, the delay should be timed and that time added on when the bar drops by pulling the bar again. After the delay time, the balls will be removed from the trap as they return as if the bar has dropped. ENDRULE

Good wording Sav, and a case for "commonsense prevailing".

Totally agree on this, even a bulb blowing can lose you 2-3 minutes.

I'll commit this to the rules as a proposal for 1.02
