Bevy 2 - 3 New Oak An interesting match with the Captains fighting it out for the spoils. No scores available but I'm sure Jean will supply them when she gets out of holiday mode.

Railway Club 3-2 Albion Fishersgate **George 9120 - 4810 Stu Kim 6890 - 6950 Jim** Rees 2820 - 3000 Sandra** **Liam 8850 - 400 Kev Sheena 8480 - 3540 Matt** It was a good night at the Railway with plenty of good natured banter, well done to them on their win, and thanks to Sheena for sorting out the food. It is great to see them encouraging new players but they need to play on a table that they can at least get the break on to give them a chance to improve and build some scores, this table does not allow that. No player got a split the whole night and only George and myself got the break 3 times and then the one up. Super reserve Sandy got the 200 first time with a nice wobble on the black peg to give us the third leg and somehow put us in front, this was after the most incredible clearance from Jim with Silent's vote for "the worlds greatest shot" included. Jim had got the break back umpteen times, never getting it 3 times and left himself 780 down with one white in hand and the rest of the balls on the table. The red was between the 100 pocket and the left hand peg slightly beyond the 100, coming off 2 cushions, hitting it very clean the cue ball went in the 100 and the red in the 200 for a 500 point shot, unbelievable! Cue applause, even Sheena gave grudging approval!! 100 to win was pretty simple a couple of shots later Felt for Stuart and other super reserve Kev as they pretty much had no chance against the break. The captain left himself until last and it wasn't until break number 3 that I managed to sort the break out but by then Sheena had got a few more on the board and it was too late.
