A few well dones.......... To Nipper - your time is sure to come. To the mighty Cliff and his wingman Matthew on second successive World Pairs title. To Barney and Higgy on taking (correct me if I'm wrong) the first Pairs Plate. To all the Ladies who bravely took part, some of whom showed the men what's what. To young Jack Baden, quarter-finalist at a tender age, at the expense of his mentor. And last but not least to K.T. on a 6th World Championship success, unquestionably The G.O.A.T.

Many thanks Tommo for those kind words. Now the dust has settled and the head has cleared, time for me to say a few words. I emphasise again the hard work that Lemon, Sean,Josey, Dave, Nigel and anyone else that helped make this the superb competition that it is. As I said in my speech, how Nigel can produce the quality in the tables when they are stored for nearly 12 months is beyond me. Let's hope he will continue doing so for a while longer. As for the final itself, I thought Martin and I were going to meet each other a few years ago, only for him to just lose out in the quarters I think. It was only a matter of time before he put the record straight to reach the final. His time to win won't be far away. Myself, I am over the moon to win this prestigious title once again, losing two finals in 2014 and 2017 had me wondering if I was never going to win it once more. Hard luck to Martin who set a very good target of 11k, one of those awkward totals that can upset your rhythm when chasing . I thanked lots of people at the presentations but as always you manage to forget someone. Like the Montreal boys and the Oxford crowd and of course young Joe, thanks buddy. Thanks again everyone for your kind words and roll on next year. You know how I like to do two in a row lol 😄😉

I have the results all in pdfs so need to put them into the format I use for the website and calculate all the ranking points etc so will take a little time. Nige
